The sleeping huts are basic; offering showers, air conditioning (albeit under straw roofs) and mosquito nets. Staff is very attentive and friendly.

The resort was clean. Staff was nice. But I did not appreciate that they semi force tips out of you. I am fine to tip, but the staff should not be selecting the amount for me. I have the right to do that myself. When they ask if its alright, it puts pressure on the guest to say yes. Many times, they did not even ask and said it was a ‘service fee.’ This made it seem mandatory which is lie. I am more likely to tip when asked, not forced or pressured.

The room we stayed in was dirty and we think had mold all over the walls. It honestly reminded me of places I used to stay in for $9 USD a night in SE Asia when I was backpacking there. There were definitely surfaces I didn't want to touch or get my luggage near. My mom woke up congested in the morning because if the mold (we think). It was hard to get onto the property and the police we encountered were not helpful at directing us to the entrance we needed to take (which is through a building BTW). The food is expensive and not good. It was nice to get breakfast for free though. The staff is so so kind and wonderful. Like, the best. But everything else was lacking.

Hotel staff absolutely great. I only see fault on Expedia side. Expedia advertised as all fees and taxes included. Did not disclosed that you have to pay daily fee to the authorities if you leave outside national park the hotel is located and you have to leave hotel to see ruins or do simple shopping. Expedia fault not hotel.

The location in the National Park was great! The beach is beautiful. We booked a garden bungalow which was clean, and steps from the beach, but there is a lot of room for improvement. It was one step above camping. You could feel the springs in the mattress and the sink had a weird water saving faucet that was essentially useless. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant could use improvement. The morning yoga class at the yoga shala overlooking the beach was excellent.

The hotel is beautiful! The beach is white, except the seaweed, which is all over the gulf and Caribbean. The food is wonderful! They lost their key to our room, so it did not get cleaned 😞, but they comped our taxi, to the airport.

Alito Hotel is situated in a beautiful place beautiful beach and premises (away from town and any restaurants, stores pharmacies etc.,)and the staff is amazing very accommodating and willing to help you and the food at restaurant is excellent! that being said the hotel lobby has many leaks(and it rained a few times we were there and all furniture get wet) so does the restaurant and the cabins...we arrived and we were giving a cabin that was leaking all over and it was very dated I guess that's part of charm; we spoke to front desk and we were quickly moved to better one, however toilet kept clogging, no hot water, not enough towels, no toilet paper it was a hit or miss... if you don't mind any of that this is place for you and if you leave hotel you have to pay back a fee to come back to hotel crazy! and the taxis are expensive too... All and all if you just want a nature, quiet vacation relaxing at beach away from all hustle and bustle this is place for you!

We were in Hut 25. The plumbing for sink leaked to the floor. The shower curtain wasn’t long enough to keep the floor dry in the bathroom. And the electrical outlets so loose our plugs struggled to stay plugged in. Staff was great. Breakfast was great. GPS struggled to get us there and not speaking Spanish was a limitation for figuring it out.

Staff was helpful and the daily breakfast was above expected. However the room was tiny with no air flow. All our cloths started to mold in the week we were there and everything stank. The place needs repairs and updating desperately. Even the lobby roof leaked like crazy when it rained - and it did several times. Location is great in that it is 2 min from your room to the beach. Yet paying 120 pesos each day for each person to enter the park if we went outside the gates got tiresome. Going to explore tow or cenotes means you constantly pay. We rented scooters for the week and were grateful we did as the hotel is a long way away from restaurants, shopping or amenities. If you want to get away from everything and just lay on the beach this is probably a great place for you.

There is a lot to like about Alito Hotel. The location is fantastic; you really can’t get too much closer to the ruins, if that’s on your bucket list. The beautiful beach is right there, and they have a pretty darn good breakfast that’s included. Rooms are a bit dated, but that also adds to the charm. Staff are very pleasant, as long as you don’t go to the water cooler too many times. But therein lies the rub. Because one is required to discard plastic water bottles upon entering the Zona Archeologica, there is no way to access potable water aside from what you can get from Alito. Their single water dispenser is located near the front desk, and we went there often to refill our glasses and reusable bottle. After about the sixth time in one day, they started giving us some pointed looks. There were two times that we went to the water dispenser and it was empty, and there was no one at the front desk. We tried going down to the restaurant for water, but they denied us outright unless we bought something. Fortunately I had an old water filter that I had packed, otherwise I’m not sure what we would have done. Basically, it seemed as though the aim of Alito was for us to be dependent upon getting our drinks through the restaurant, at their set prices. Since there are no markets within easy walking distance, this put us in a difficult position with regards to the basic necessity of hydration. Price is decent for hotels along this strip, and the place is comforta

Location is as remote as you can get within the city of Tulum, being as it is at the very end of the access road to the ruins and park entry. Worth it if your vibe is quiet, peace, and calm. Staff are friendly, kind, and very responsive. Amenities and menu are very decent, but did get boring toward the end of our stay. Many days items were out of stock, which can be frustrating. Included breakfast was a great value, but as mentioned, being out of stock of items some days is disappointing when the menu isn’t that extensive to begin with. Prices are a bit high for food and drinks, but seem on par with the elevated prices in the whole region. All in all, would recommend and would visit again.
