great place to stay
Very nice stay, accommodations were clean. Host was prompt, attentive and the setting was more than we expected. Location is great, got to see barges pass each other along the lazy river, many golf opportunities, and supper clubs abound. Scenic and quietOur group likes to visit different VRBO's but the group wants to come back to this location! That's a first. 5 stars

Fantastic house on the Mississippi
With the good fortune of having the finest spring weather imaginable, we had a marvelous stay at BRD's Nest. It's simply one of the best VRBO's our group has stayed in. Excellent communication from the owner.

Beautiful, clean, spacious home
The house is perfect for a getaway with friends or family. It is very spacious with a large area for gathering to play games or just visit. The beds are very comfortable with nice linens. We were in town for a Bonspiel at the Centerville Curling Club. Wish we had more time to spend at the house. Make sure to check out The Station - Ma’s Kitchen in town for breakfast and coffee! SO GOOD!

Family - Wedding Event
View and spacious rooms and bedrooms! Every couple loved having a bathroom, with family it was fine using the 5th bathroom in another’s bedroom which had the 5th bathroom.
Loved the balcony around most of the house.
Sister in law locked us out of the house but management was able to solve the issue immediately, what a lifesaver to get a tired family after a wedding into the house.
Wish we had more time there to be with bothers and sisters.

Fantastic
This property has it all for a large group: several gathering spaces (indoor/outdoor/upper level/lower level), a well-equipped kitchen, five bathrooms (!), and a river view to die for. Super location: you can walk east or west to two great dining options if you don’t feel like cooking. The state park is also right up the road for outdoor recreation. There’s a delightful winery just a bike ride away, with musical entertainment on weekends.
Owner Bridgett is quickly responsive. We had a fabulous time.

Perfect Place for a Girlfriend Trip
Beautiful 5-bedroom home facing the Mississippi River. All of us had our own bedroom. House was clean and well- stocked with bedding and towels. The kitchen and dining area was also well stocked and perfect for cooking/sharing a meal, playing board games, etc. Had other amenities we did not use (outdoor grill, fire pit, etc.) Close to the Lacrosse area, Winona MN and other charming towns. We enjoyed thrifting and shopping. Very close to Sullivan's Supper Club. Would definitely stay there again:)

The BRD NEST on the Mississippi River is a wonderful place for a relaxing and nature-filled retreat. The home is darn near perfect - very spacious and well equipped. All 8 of us adults were in awe of the stunningly beautiful sunsets over the river!

Our second stay at The BRD Nest
We stayed here for a week last summer and liked it so much we came back in the fall. Very comfortable home providing everything needed for a visit. Relaxing views of the river--especially the mornings and evening sunrises on the deck. Most likely we'll return next year!

Still Batting A Thousand!
This is our second year staying in Bridgett's lovely home in the midst of God's Country. Another perfect stay, proving that last year was no fluke! Bridgett is an excellent host. The property had some upgrades since last year, including new outdoor furniture and fire table, perfect for cozy evenings chatting with the family. The place was spotless, the views amazing. There's always something happening to watch - a barge plying the river, a train going past, squirrels busy finding nuts for the winter. It's a great place to relax with family and friends and just chill! Thanks Bridgett! Have already booked for next year.

Great location
The house is in a wonderful location, central to all our activities with great views of the Mississippi. We even watched a cruise ship go by! The house was clean, well appointed, with plenty of room for our group of 6.
My main reason for the lower 4 star rating was because of the steep driveway. We came with touring motorcycles to ride the driftless area, and the toughest part of the weekend ride was going up and down the driveway. The driveway starts with a 14° grade and flattens out at the top. You must be careful in you approach or you will lose speed and can easily tip over. May not be best for the novice rider with a passenger, use caution or you will drop the bike!

Relaxing Vaca
Beautiful property, view and amenities. Stayed with our adult children and their families and everyone had their own bathroom. Group meals were easy with all the cookware/dinnerware that was available. Supper Club 1/2 mile away and walking into town was a beautiful walk. Enjoyed visiting the Lock/Dam #6 to see barges going through. This place has it all!!

Roomy, Clean and Comfortable
We were 4 mature couples who were pleasantly surprised by how well-stocked the entire house was. There was only one hairdryer which we had a little trouble finding, but everthing else about the house more than makes up for any minor inconvenience. We used all but the twins bedroom and all of the beds were very comfortable. The view is incredible and we enjoyed it inside and out. We explored the Mississippi by tritoon and this has to be the prettiest part of the upper river. We were not comfortable pulling the boat and trailer into the driveway as it is steep. We felt very fortunate to get to experience this property, and can’t wait to come back!
