Very good

stayed previously and gave feedback and must say did take notice. room was fine save for tv had to be a bit of bind having to sign in . The security light , ie the green one in case of powercut was not situated at all well and found difficult to get of to sleep. Would have benefitted from a bedside clock.
The room was nice. Good size and clean. Had complimentary items.
We had specified we were travelling with a 1 year old however the room had only a shower and no bath, and didn't have a cot.a cot was delivered to the room after we called reception to request it.
The pool facilities were good and children have access at all times. Nice changing rooms, a good size pool, sauna and steam room.
The bar is the only place to get food at children's meal times as the restaurant opens at 7pm. The bar is lounge style and had lots of drinkers so it wasn't adequate for families so we had chose to go out of the hotel for dinner.
Breakfast had lots of options. The cooked breakfast was below average. The high chair wasn't present at service and took 15 minutes to come to the table and wasn't adequate as the back leant too far back and the tray wasn't adjustable so there is a huge gap between child and tray. Not ideal for keeping clothes clean.
Staff were pleasant but some were rude and not knowledgeable. In the coffee shop we were asked to go and check prices of items round a corner ourselves despite being laden with drinks and a toddler in arm.
The cot was going to be an extra charge before complaining.
Service was fine but no one went out of the way to help for example help with doors whilst I had the pram, greeted us with a smile, asked how they could help.
Wouldn't stay again, wasn't blown away.
This was one of the poorest value hotels I've staid in. I paid £156 fo one night (the hotel's published rate was £186). I'm not sure it would have been worth half that.
I had to wait 20 minutes to get my room key - I had already checked in when I arrived in the morning. There were not enough staff on. The reception staff were kind but clealy over-worked and unable to cope with the guests.
The room was sparsely furnished. The TV on the wall was state of the art Sumsung crica 1995 with only the basic channels.
The bathroom was huge but empty with a really poor shower cabinet and bath and a massive step across the width of the bathroom with no health and safety warnings.
The toilet leaked whilst I was sitting on it!! All over the floor.
The electic old fashioned radiator in the room was fitted in such a way that it made the plug inaccessible and finally to complete the deal when I went to put some bread in the toaster for breakfast the bread had green mold on it!
And this considers itself a luxury hotel. The owners are clearly not investing in the staff or the property. I would avoid this hotel all together unless you have no choice.
Staff unhelpful, equipment broken , raised problems not delay with . Experienced burns in steam room area . Staff very un -coperative at offering any support or solutions
Was lovely stay with being able to use the swimming pool and gym. Staff was lovely, helpful and spine to when walking passed Hotel was decorated for xmas. Staff in the bfast was helful
For one night stay, the hotel does the job. The bed was comfy, however the room was very old, dusty and whole toilet fully oxidated.
Breakfast served since 7 am, was decent.
Spa and hotel staff extremly friendly. Clean environment. Lovely choice of Spa treatments available. Reported a heater fault that was not fixed during the stay would be the only negative will definetly visit again
Grounds and breakfast are fabulous. Bed was very comfortable, shower was good and room was very warm.
I was booked into the Paddocks annex. When I checked in the staff member said it was a minute's walk. It was over 5 minutes of brisk walking in severe gales and rain, with inadequate signage. The room was not soundproofed and one could hear every word of neighbours' conversations. Only 2 hangers were in the wardrobe. The room lighting was bizarre. One ceiling light that could only be operated with the switch by the door. 5 side and standard lamps each of which was plugged into a different socket and had to be individually turned on or off at the socket or on the light itself. There was no means to control the room lighting from the bed. Goodies like crisps, chocs and water were left in the room with no indication whether they were free or if they incur a charge if you use them.
No USB socket for charging your phone and the wi-fi didn't work - presumably too far from the main hotel.
Maybe staying in the main building would be ok, but the annex experience was poor.
Property is very grand and well maintained. There is some work going on in the grounds at the moment but that doesn't detract from the way it looks or is presented.
Rooms in the paddock annex are nice but wifi was lacking which wasn't ideal as we were there for work purposes.
Only other downside, is that the food choices are either high end or the bar menu which itself is limited.
There needs to be more a mid-range restaurant option in my opinion. Overall a lovely hotel and would definitely stay again for leisure purposes
