We had a pleasant stay at Staybridge Suites Oakville, thanks to the exceptional staff who were consistently lovely, kind, and professional. The facilities were impressively clean and well-maintained, creating a welcoming environment. However, a few small but noticeable issues impacted the overall experience and likely contribute to the hotel’s lower rating.
Attention to detail in the room was lacking in some areas. For instance, the tissue box had only a few tissues left with no replacements provided. Although we reserved a suite for four people and paid extra, only enough towels for two were supplied. Additionally, while there were locked dispensers for hand soap and lotion by the sink, we found no soap, shampoo, or conditioner in the room. We may have overlooked them as we didn’t search extensively, nor did we contact the front desk to inquire. The blackout curtains, which were merely quarter decorative panels on the sides of the window, didn’t close fully, allowing morning light to stream in and disrupt sleep. Lastly, the suite’s living room went underutilized as the couch was uncomfortably hard.
While the staff and cleanliness were highlights, these minor oversights detracted from an otherwise enjoyable stay. Addressing these details could significantly elevate the guest experience.
