APA hotel & resort Roppongi was absolutely beautiful place to stay for my solo trip of 9 days in Japan. It was a very clean environment. They gave you freah towels daily. Cleaned the room every 3 day for hygienic purposes, which I appreciate. The room was a little spacious for one may 2 people but no more than that, especially if you have bags. There is no microwave or ironing board in the rooms but both things were located by the vending machines for people to use and/or return. As far as having a place to sleep and wash up i would definitely stay here again whenever I have another visit to Japan.

While the hotel was typical for many Japanese business hotels in the rooms were clean but very small, this one had a beautiful Japanese bath on the top floor. The large hot pool and an outdoor bathing pool with some minerals blended in the water were nice.

The rooms were tiny. Bathroom was even smaller than in the picture. I had to book a different hotel next street over at (Mitsui garden Roppongi) and just keep the room at APA for the Osen access. Everything is self service. No room service. Osen feature was nice tho. After a long day of walking and exploring the city, it was a good way to wind down and relax. Also this location is a bit more of a walk to the metro than other near by APAs. It is super close to Don Quijote which was nice so we didn’t have to walk so far carrying all the stuff we bought. But… I’d never stay here again.

This hotel is very basic but convenient. It's in a great location in Roppongi, with easy access to the Tokyo Metro. The room itself is clean but very small - more ideal for a single person than a couple. The hotel is very nice with extra amenities such as a launderette, public microwave, vending machine and an onsen. A few negative notes: the breakfast was terrible - I wish I hadn't paid extra for it. The only western food available were sausages, pancakes and chicken nuggets (odd breakfast choice). All of the Japanese breakfast options were fish. I understand that fish is a huge part of Japanese cuisine but there are so many more breakfast options available elsewhere so surely the hotel can make some variations to their breakfast buffet or at least add some more western options. The onsen isn't accessible to those with tattoos unless you have 2 small tattoos which must be covered with skin stickers (accessed from reception). Whilst I appreciate this is culturally appropriate, I find it odd in a hotel for international guests. The room cleaning is an odd one too! I was unfortunately not very well one day so stayed in, when the cleaning team knocked on the door, I refused the cleaning and moments later I had a call from reception who insisted the room be cleaned, they were very rude about it. I have never experienced this at any other hotel. Very strange. Over all its a cheap and basic hotel which will save you money but don't expect anything substantial.
