Awful experience! The door lock was visibly broken and wouldn’t lock! It wouldn’t lock! Large flies in the washroom… that’s when we decided to leave. Huge stains on the carpet, finger prints all over the windows and a very sketchy neighborhood. We walked out… and lost 4 nights prepaid hotel. We hope Expedia refunds our money… and speaks to this hotel.

AVOID IT!!

AVOID IT!! The room has a strong bad smell. The room is not maintained at all. It took around 30 minutes to check in with the receptionist. There is no customer service at all. I have found a room with broke door and a lot of dirt inside in-front of the door where my room is. It is written on the door that it is not safe around, and I am responsible for my stuff. The Wi-Fi never reached the third floor.

There was no attendance at the reception. I have waited for 40 minutes, ringed the bell and called the hotel phone numbers with no response. I had then to find the alternative given that it was becoming late

Smiley and helpful staff

The lovely staff on the desk speaking in English doing everything to assist you. I arrived later at 9:45 pm, the chek-in was done by the smily nice lady. She ordered for me a pizza. The restaurant + the varied buffet very nice although not a lot of space......Very small. The room was spacious I like the view in despite of the small noise from trains which passed all day.

A good hotel.

Stargate Palazzo is okay. The location is good just a short walk from the Hauptbahnhof. The area is okay too. The rooms are spacious and the single bed is large but smaller than a standard double bed. The carpets could do with a good clean but for the money it’s fine and I will stay again. The staff are friendly enough, the breakfast is plentiful and although there is no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, they do sell some drinks and snacks on reception.

Good value hotel

Got there 11 PM. 24-hour check-in so no problem. Room OK. Overlooked inside area of hotel so no noise except for three trains going by at about 1 AM. No A/C so kept window open but no problem since no noise due to location of room. Parking OK, elevator handy. Wi-fi fine.

my stay at the plazzo was not a good one,our bedroom door wouldnt open without force the carpet was worn away where it rubed on the floor, as soon as you walked in the door it was smelling of smoke and just not clean..we paid for breakfast on the first morning we were told egg and bacon, only well the bacon was smoked crisp bacon, second morning we were told no eggs only scrambeld eggs which i questioned seemingly it was powdered egg. no quasons for continental, the rolls were the day before rock hard ones,digusting as you can imagine i would not recomend this hotel to anyone plus the fact it isnt a good area

Worst Hotel I have stayed in!!

Probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in! Receptionist was drunk when I arrived so checking in was a nightmare. WiFi did not work and there was not even a kettle in room. Towels and linen were absolutely disgusting. The room stank of smoke and the shower was broken. Also right next to the train line with a lot of noise so could not even leave the window open. I felt totally uncomfortable sleeping in the room and I checked out at 5am after a terrible nights sleep as I couldn't stand the room one minute more!

Was a bit sceptical as reviews were not encouraging but it was a large room . Clean and comfy. Breakfast was usual stuff but good . As a budget hotel goes we would defenetly stay again . Ideal for a football weekend

Clean hotel near the train station. It's in walking distance. Beds have a firm support which I like. The only small downside I could mention. I'f windows are open you will hear the train station in the morning.Good hotel for the price . Very friendly staff.

Avoid this hotel!

For starters, the wifi did not work 2 out of the 3 days when we stayed. There is no room telephone available. The room is musty and the pillows are very old. The towels are older than floor rags. Other than that, breakfast was the only redeeming feature of this misnomer name of palazzo. It should be renamed GARBAZZO!

Very Decent Place

I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of this small hotel. The room was clean (everything, inc. bathroom to bed) and the personnel were extremely nice and polite......trying to assist whenever asked. This is not a hotel to spend your vacation at, however, if you need a very decent place to stay for a couple of days that is priced right.........this is an excellent choice.
