Booked through Expedia a month out and received an email that the hotel confirmed the booking. When we arrived, the staff on the WhatsApp refused our stay and stated Expedia bookings are not accepted due to them not allowing the local currency. My family was turned away as if we were expected to understand the nuances between the apartment staff and Expedia. At no point was our reservation cancelled and we were not notified of the disconnect between Expedia and BnB. We were unable to find a family room reservation for the night in Tirana further adding insult to the failed reservation. The staff member 1 that came to the place was cordial and arrived in about 20 minutes, while staff member 2 was callous and unconcerned while messaging me. The outside appearance of the apartment is dilapidated with graffiti next to the entrance. A myriad of cobwebs grace the stairs to the entrance of the apartment. I walked in the apartment as staff member 1 handed me the keys and was explaining things about the apartment. Meanwhile staff member 2 was texting me that our reservation was not being honored. No communication exists between BnB staff and Expedia and I had to communicate between the 2 BnB staff members to get them on the same page as staff 1 didn't know anyone was staying at the apartment that day while staff 2 was stating someone else had booked the apartment for that night and we could not stay there. In conclusion, highly not recommended due to the condition & miscommunications
