My best friend and I had a really great stay here, it was nice simple but cleanly accommodations set on a really beautiful property. We took full advantage of the salt water pool and all the comfortable spots to sit by the water and just relax. The workers on the property were very accommodating and friendly, the restaurants were not open on the property but that was not a big issue because the workers recommended some really great places not too far away. Actually already made another reservation to take my boyfriend, and looking forward to another fun relaxing staycation thanks to the Wylder !

If you are looking for a luxury hotel. Go somewhere else. There was no lightning and the bathroom was nonexistent. The ONLY thing they have going for them is the water location.

We will be back!

Very happy with Tilghman as an area....the Wylder Hotel did the best they could with the Covid circumstances. Pool and free bikes and kyaks/canoes were a hugh plus, and breakfasts very nice. Staff was extremely accommodating for ice and extra towels for the pool. We loved staying in the area and not the touristy more crowded St. Michaels, but liked that we were close. A walk to the country store for coffee and carryout breakfast was also a nice option. Love the stunning sun rises! The pavilion worked well for the rainy day allowing us to get out of the room. We do plan on staying here again.

Pool closed at 8 pm, way too early. The onsite restaurant way overpriced, food was ok. The restaurant hours were poor. No coffee pot in room. Cob webs and spiders in corners, no housekeeping avail during stay. .....

Do not feel it was worth the money !

For the price this was not a Deluxe room - yes it was kind of water front. We could see it from our windows and sliding door that was very hard to open. There was only 1 chair in the room and no end tables. The bed was extremely hard. When I called before arriving To ask about covid protocol and any updates I was not told that the restaurant and bar will be closed our entire time there.

lovely waterfront property

The property, restaurant and outdoor amenities are outstanding. Our room in the boarding house lacked basic comforts such as refrigerator, extra seating or larger trash bin. We had to use coolers with ice for beverages. Also no hooks for towels and bathing suits. Therefore room uncomfortable. However, once you adapt to that, property beautiful and is a destination with activities, entertainment and excellent food where there is no need to leave after arrival! And it’s pet friendly! Very much appreciate that fact!

Public space was great, hotel room was not

Staff were so friendly. The land is beautiful; hotel’s public space all very nice. Actual room slept in, a waterfront one, left little to be desired. Carpet ends frayed, broken Ceramic sink, weak toilet flush, teeny bathroom, slight moldy smell everywhere and in the pillows. Wanted to love this hotel, but didn’t. Hotel rooms should be just as nice as public space.

nice quiet location but NOT resort standards

Hotel looks pretty and restaurant area is nice overlooking the dock. However, service at restaurant is slow they forget to give you napkins! Food is served in plastic and prices are high for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Don’t eat here! Go into St Michaels for much better food. They add in a resort fee for pool use , bikes, and canoes - All in you end up spending almost $275 a night. Oh yeah —our toilet didn’t even flush. This place is overpriced for what you get. But it’s a nice location- just not a true resort.
