Pot holes in the parking lot large enough to damage a vehicle. Whole building needs a complete overhaul/update. Windows especially should be replaced and yes I realize the cost. Stayed here (Airlane) many years ago in it's Glory Days and it has fallen a long ways. Lobby looks great and a decent breakfast but rooms require updates! Not good value at $200 per night.

My stay at the Ramada in Thunder Bay was honestly disappointing. The property is very old and poorly maintained. The room and bathroom were not as clean as they should be, and the noise level between rooms is terrible — you can hear everything from the guests next door as if they were inside your room. It’s hard to rest, even after 11 pm when it’s supposed to be quiet. The breakfast was also a letdown: very greasy, with almost no healthy options available. There’s also a strong smell of smoke in the lobby, which makes the place even less pleasant. Transportation is another issue — there’s no Uber or Lyft in the area, and very limited access to public transport. The only positive aspect was the friendly staff at reception, who were polite and tried their best. Unfortunately, that’s not enough to make up for the overall experience. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Really the building just needs updating. Paint the halls. Mold or rust in the bath/shower. Sofa in room was filthy. Staff were friendly and breakfast was good.

We would not recommend this hotel at all. Carpets and walls were stained, no elevator, the heating control in room was broken with wires exposed. Staff not at all welcoming or friendly.

The lobby staff was so lovely and the beds were extremely comfortable. The hotel has not been renovated for a while, so it has a ragged look. Hard to tell how clean it was because most things had dents or chips on them.

An oldie but goldie

Was quite impressed with the staff, particularly at the breakfast offering. For an older hotel, I found it in remarkably good condition. A couple of minor maintenance issues I brought to the front desk’s attention but there is no question I would stay there again.
