The common areas of the hotel are clean, updated, and beautiful. However the bedrooms are very shabby. The mattresses need to be replaced. Very uncomfortable beds and pillows.

We had a wonderful 4-day stay while visiting New York. Although the hotel is older (particularly the bathrooms), our room was spotless and very well-maintained. Cleanliness is what matters most to us! The service was excellent, especially Steve, who was very helpful, smiling, and quick to restock our amenities like coffee and shampoo. Getting to Manhattan is easy: the 166X bus takes you to Port Authority in just 40 minutes (the 166T is also a good alternative). A great choice for a trip to NYC.

The Clinton Hill Hotel exceeded my expectations for the price. I was expecting something more down-market, but the beds were very comfortable and the rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels provided each time. The staff were friendly, polite, and very helpful throughout my stay. The location is also a big plus — the bus to New York stops right outside the hotel and runs until 2am, so getting around was never an issue. Overall, an excellent and very pleasant stay.

Staff very courteous. Hidalgo suite room and amenities clean and well stocked. Good quality TV. Uncomfortable mattress. Room was too warm with no temp. control. Tissues and toilet paper like sandpaper and fell apart under use. Sink faucets leaking at base of handles.

The Clinton Inn location is ideal for my travel needs, but it’s a trip back to the late 1970’s. Thin walls; I heard the conversations in the next room. Was thankful the people next door didn’t stay up late.

After the first night of staying the door would not lock again. We were only there for one night as it is continently located in front of the funeral home and church. My stay in 3 months as I have had to go to tow funerals, in that time. The staff is nice and helpful, it's a 2.5 hotel. Clearly it was grand at some time past.
