She canceled when we were 2 hours from the property in a holiday weekend leaving us no where to stay in the area. We were relocated by Vrbo to 2 hours away, ruining our trip. The owners excuse was “no natural gas”, however, common sense comes to play, there is a gauge in the tank where you can check This occurred only once I asked about the access code to the poeropty before we would lose signal in the mountains. She immediately cancelled once I inquired. Had I not asked, we would have been sitting on the porch waiting to get in. This owner should be banned from this platform. No apologies, no consideration. If we had known prior to leaving home, we could have cancelled our trip instead of renting a car, using PTO and additional expenses. VRBO sucks too, they only compensate for the difference in rate, not in your additional expenses or inconvenience. Will never use this platform again. Wasted money, time and ruined trip simply wasn’t worth it. Absolute nightmare.
