Perfect landing spot for a family in Tawas

Check in was easy. Staff was friendly. Bees were comfy. Walking distance to downtown. The beach was perfect.

Overall it was just ok. We stayed a Sunday to Friday and based on their information we should have had housekeeping on Wednesday but never happened. Had to go to front desk for more towels and wash cloths. There weren’t that many beach chairs and many were broken. Just be aware just because it has the word resort in the title it is along way from it. I’d compare it to a Howard Johnson’s.

Property is so dated and the carpet is dirty. They are charging so much for a terrible room with no amenities. I have stayed in San Diego, California, with way better views surrounded by the bay and a multitude of amenities for half as much. Beach Bay and resorts is robbing people and should be ashamed of their service and hotel. You can rent an RV and stay at a campsite for what they charging.

The property was older and in need for an update but it seemed they were doing well with what they had. We had large dust webs in areas of the room and it looked like the A/C unit was due for maintenance and cleaning. The staff was great, very attentive and there for our needs. The beds were very comfortable, slept the best I have in a long time. There is a train that may come through town as the tracks literally run right down the middle of the street but they are considerate and you don’t hear the horn unless they have to (Idiot on the tracks lol).

Loved the location of this hotel. Comfortable bed with a great view of the lake. Our AC didn't work and we were there for only 1 night; at checkout, we told the front desk our AC didn't work & she just checked us out & didn't offer an apology or acknowledgement about our AC not working. Breakfast at the restaurant attached to the hotel was decent but very limited menu and was not included with the stay but the complimentary coffee in the hotel lobby was pretty good, as well as the tea options available. We would stay here again despite

Great Location

We thought it was clean, but the room was bare. It was a king room with only a little refrigerator and nothing else. I didn't even have a bench to put your things on. The front desk person female not sure of name. She was there Sunday afternoon check in July 20 and the morning of Mon July 21 check out dark long hair. She was not friendly at all. If you work in hospitality, you should have the personality for it. We did enjoy the Bikinis bar outside and loved the restaurant on the property. The people there were amazing. Beautiful location.
