The lady working when we checked in late at night was friendly and helpful. The men who work behind the desk seemed very much less so.
While the staff is overall invisible it's not so in a bad way. They just didn't pester us, which was nice, because we were in town for a funeral and it was a tough weekend.
However, there were some issues. Up late at night after the funeral, we were outside at the picnic tables when they turned on the sprinklers, pointed directly at us, and this ruined my husband's phone. This brought three stars down to two. Had they wanted us to go in, they just could have asked. They have every inch of the place on video- it's not like they don't know this is an issue. We're just an older couple struggling with a loss. It wasn't like we were whooping it up.
There is a collection aged, broken down equipment stacked in the hallways and steps, which is really kind of itchy. I mean, a LOT of it. Nearly every corner of the building has something broken down sitting in a corner.
There are literally no safeguards at the second floor windows (don't put your children on that floor). This was a pet room - don't put your pets there, either.
Beds are okay, bring your own pillows. Seriously.
Woke to find stains of an unmentionable nature on the walls in the reflection of the sunlight. That grossed me out for the rest of the stay. Wear shoes.
For all of this, they are way overpriced on weekend, off season rates. Not even a view. Just a nope. Never again.
