Cottage near Lake Taupo on Tauranga Taupo River

A well presented and reasonably priced cottage very close to the lake and Tauranga/Taupo river on the Eastern side of Lake Taupo - 10Km North of Turangi Township. A very quiet, picturesque and peaceful area and very central to the numerous attractions and facilities of the Central Plateau of the North Island. Great accommodation for anglers/fishermen, skiers/snowboarders, tourists, wanting to get away from the bustle of city and big town life, or someone just wanting to break their journey for a night [or more] in a marvelous location.

Extras: Cleaning (Required, NZ$50.00 per stay); Linen not supplied. Bring your own sheets, pillow slips, and towels.
Check in after 2pm on day of arrival and check out is by 11am on day of departure.

Definitely a good old kiwi bach. Sturdy and fuctional. Great living areas and a good patio for sitting outside for lunch. Excellent offroad parking. Front door was a bit hard to open due to the new carpet but it will wear in over time. Great heating and plenty of hot water. Will be coming back soon I hope.

Really lovely peaceful stay in Turangi. Loads of things to do close enough for day trips. The house itself has everything you need for a good break. The duvets are really good quality and warm. Had a chip heater instead of a fireplace. Lots of kindling left for us to keep it alight but if you were looking for an open or boxed fireplace where you could see the flames then that's not what's there. It's to back up the hot water system. We had a really nice time :-) Would definitely recommend

Exactly what it says on the tin - classic kiwi Bach with all basics covered. Great base for trips around the lake and to the mountain. Beautiful outdoor space - just a note for dog owners that it's not fenced, but plenty of space to run around.

Definately gives the traditional kiwi batch energy, which we absolutely loved.Heating was ample, we found everything we needed and more, and the location was so beautiful.Perfect relaxing little get-away with our 4 year old & our dog.WE WOULD DEFINATELY RECCOMMEND STAYING AT 5HIS BATCH!

Little Gem

Stayed with my elderly mother who loved the birdsong emanating from the adjacent wetlands. Bird watching heaven, all from the back porch. Close to the scenic walkway along the Tauranga Taupo river; more birdwatching joys await. Bach is simple and functional for any family and ideally located for a multitude of outdoor activities.

Oldie but a goodie

Classic kiwi Bach. Lake just down the road. The challenge service station where you pick up the keys is fairly well stocked if you need anything including fish and chips. It is a very old house with a pump and low pressure hot water. The shower was extremely low pressure, the shower head fell apart twice. It is a lovely Quiet street

budget friendly characterful Bach

The little house was everything we needed on our winter road trip. Plenty of heaters and blankets to keep us warm. The decor hasn't changed much since the 1960's but that just added to the charm.
