Unit was spacious with a comfortable bed & private spa tub. Unit also had its own kitchen and seperate dining room. We enjoyed the heated mineral pools (4 hot+ 1 cold) with plenty of room to sun bathe too. Used them for free every day, as part of our stay. Hostesses was friendly and helpful .

We were lucky enough to get this place last minute and we were blown away. Massive rooms, bed and tele. Fully equipt kitchen, ideal location and the thermal Spa bath just topped it off. Stunning view from the porch too. Just wished we could have stayed longer.

Good spa facilities, and bonus to have own private spa in room. Friendly and responsive staff. Location adjacent to the lake, and a short stroll into town. Room a bot dated, but clean and more than adequate for a brief stay. Would return again and can recommend.

Appreciated the warm welcome - Carol was amazing. The accommodation was clean and spacious. There was also storage space throughout, and it had everything one would need for a four-night stay. It was so handy to have a dining room area and deck area too! The thermal spa helped ease the aches from all the walking we did most days. Being close to the lake was extremely convenient too. We enjoyed ourselves and will be back.

All of above stood out. The room was spotless staff amazingly friendly and happy to assist in every way, but the best part is the on premises hot mineral pools Nothing beats submerging in 40 degree hot volcanic pools that remove all the stresses of travel

We so enjoyed staying here. Our room had a balcony with a view of Lake Taupo and Mount Tongariro. It was close to the beach, too. Carol, our host, was excellent and helpful. And the bonus was the private hot pool area.

Our host was very friendly and warm. We enjoyed the hot pools and the deck facing the lake for a beer or glass of wine looking out over the lake and watching the sunset. The dish towels seemed to repel water, making cleanup very difficult. Our king bed seemed to be sunken in the middle so my wife and I ended up rolling towards each other while we slept.

The front desk staff is excellent, and the hot tub is great. The room is slightly smaller than average, but the lake view is gorgeous and it’s within walking distance to the bars and the lakefront trail. Parking is free.

Stay here for the spa facilities! We absolutely loved access to the outdoor spa facilities, with 5 different temperature tubs. We also enjoyed the tub in our room. The facilities were perfect to recover from the Tongariro Alpine Crossing! The lady on reception was a delight. Housekeeping were great - nice clean room. The kitchenette and its items could do with a bit of an upgrade but we enjoyed eating out in this area anyway. Thanks for a great stay.

The spa area was very nice and the 4 thermal pools were definitely the highlight of this property. I would give that area 5 stars. The room, however, I would only give 2 stars due to the age of facility and it being very dated and in desperate need of remodeling and repair. The room was clean and the bed was fairly comfortable. We had a king suite on the 2nd floor and during our stay it rained heavily and the roof in the dining room began leaking and dripping onto the carpet. When we brought this up to the property owner, she did not seemed too concerned about it and also seemed to be aware of the leak. She did not offer to compensate us in any way or offer another room. If you visit, I highly recommended the spa but skip the motel stay.
