La ubicación del hotel es excelente ! Las vistas son espectaculares , el rest principal del hotel fabuloso , le grand blue .almanete recomendado . Sin embargo , el hotel necesita trabajo, las han cómodas pero las sábanas y almohadas de muy mala calidad !! Todo muy limpio si! Y la gente súper amable ! Definitivamente regresaría una vez remodelen y hagan del hotel un lugar más placentero de lo que ya es !!

Our Third Visit To Paradise

This past visit July 2025 will mark our third consecutive summer stay at this gem of a hotel. We continue to enjoy the spacious accommodations and friendly staff. Like a sightly faded beauty, this 50 something year old hotel certainly can use an update , and we have been advised that is in progress. However you cannot beat the spaciousness and slightly faded grandeur of this beautiful property. The hotel is situated on what I believe to be one the ‘most’ gorgeous and picturesque of the entire Taormina area. The private grotto beach and pool areas are spectacular as is the view of Mount Etna from the buffet breakfast terrace.

Let me say that we did have a great time staying at the hotel. The pool area is awesome and the staff is very nice. That being said the room is very dated. The shower set up was probably the most inconvenient shower I have ever encountered in my whole life Made absolutely no sense. The shuttle service has much to be desired very limited and always full. Only was able to get on the shuttle one time otherwise paid for taxis on a consistent basis. The restaurants are really not that good and extremely overpriced. Put that being said we still had a good time and would return but being aware that the shuttle is useless and the restaurant on the promises is not a good option. Again, the staff was wonderful and the room was kept extremely clean.

Great location and amazing views! Our hotel room had a beautiful balcony with a view of Mt. Etna! The pool area was very nice and drinks and food can be ordered while relaxing or you can go to the bar! Stepping off the elevator and having the doors open to the gorgeous ocean view as you walk through the cave is always amazing! Truly an experience! All staff is friendly and helpful! The shuttles that take you back and forth to the town of Taormina are a great feature and many options of times! Just make sure to reserve early AM your spots!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at UNA Capotaormina Hotel in Taormina, Sicily, and while it wasn’t perfect, the experience was overall quite memorable.The real standout features of this hotel are the pool and the cave beach—absolutely stunning and definitely the highlight of the stay. The pool area is a perfect spot to unwind, with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean. The beach, carved into the cliffside, offers a unique and secluded vibe, making it an idyllic spot to relax and soak in the beauty of the coast. The views from the hotel are something out of a postcard, particularly from the Le Grand Bleu restaurant, where you can enjoy a meal overlooking the ocean and Mount Etna. Dining there was an experience in itself—the food was good, though pricey, and you're really paying for experience. The complimentary breakfast was fantastic, offering a wide variety of fresh options. It really set a positive tone for the day. Room for Improvement: The hotel itself, while charming, is definitely dated. I wasn’t bothered by this during my stay, but I think a renovation could take UNA Capotaormina to the next level. The facilities are functional and comfortable, but a fresh update would elevate the experience and make the property feel more luxurious. We loved ending our trip to Sicily at Una Hotel Taormina! We were so lazy spending nearly every day lounging by the pool/sea. The staff was amazing. We only went to town once, but was easy to use the shuttle if you plan ahead. We spent one day at Mt Etna-not too far & worth it! Sadly, we did not do a boat ride due to weather-wasnt awful, but since we had already done a boat in Ortegia we watched the boats in the drizzle from under our umbrella by the sea :) We would stay there again! PS Bed was so comfortable & balcony view amazing! Room Decor was quaint, like staying Nonna’s house, old country Italian, but super clean! The other spaces were modernized.
