The staff is wonderful, the place was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was chaotic because one staff member was trying to keep everything topped up and she was overwhelmed. The room was very cold and adjusting the thermostat didn’t help.

We stayed at the Oasis Bay Suites, Tampa, Busch Gardens, USF for a week. Our room was nice but the bathroom was definitely outdated, with the shower bar hanging on by a thread. We noticed mold on the wall where moisture had collected underneath the towel rack. There was also a rubber hair elastic & hair on the bathroom floor when we arrived which was off-putting. After staying the first night, we went down to the continental breakfast the next morning and there was very limited food with a lot of the food containers empty and not refilled often for the amount of people there. Food was very skimpy/limited that morning. It made us wonder if it would be like that the entire week. Others were complaining about the lack of food that day. However, each morning after that, there was plenty of food that was continually restocked. The breakfast selection was great from then on out with both hot foods and cold foods.We were then impressed with the food selection. People sat in the lobby and ate breakfast when it was too cold outside to eat while others lounged there, even after they were done eating. Due to limited seating in the lobby, people would either wait for seats to open up, eat outside where is was still cold in the mornings, or go back to their room to eat. A designated eating area would be much better than having people eat in the lobby or having to go elsewhere. The outside areas including the pool and outside lounging area are absolutely lovely and beautiful.

Walkable distance to Buschgardens was a plus and the main reason for choosing this hotel. Outdoor common area was nice with pool and lots of areas to relax. The rooms were large however the overall cleanliness wasn’t great. (There were dirty footprints on the bathroom walls even) Breakfast was below standards for hotel free breakfast and understaffed to prepare for the quantity of people staying there.

We liked the hotel. Clean , close to the park but there was no dining room to eat the breakfast buffet. The food was good, but you either had to take it to the room, or eat outside which was uncomfortable because it was cold.

The bad, good and indifferent

Not sure about the second or third floors but if you didn't want to hear music playing all night long and I mean all night request a room away from it. They have music piped in all over the grounds. Nice during the day but needs to be turned off at night. And so not get a room by house keeping if you don't want to be woken up at 6am every morning. Impossible to sleep through their ranting and hooting in Spanish every morning. Want the greatest stay it could have been but wasn't the worst either. Oh I've more things avoid the blonde that barely speaks English behind the reception desk. Nothing but attitude. Everyone else was great.

The room was strange, with the bathroom sink in the bedroom and another sink in the living room! But the worse amenity was the toilet bowl. It was the smallest we have ever seen. Suitable for potty training, not adults. An uncomfortable experience.

Good value

Close to Busch Gardens. We actually walked. Was a twenty minute walk. The weather was fine. The room Was spacious and clean.
