Ignore me at the front desk

Well. When I came into check, the front desk clerk, a man, did even acknowledge me. Then another clerk appeared from the back and asked me if I had been helped. The other clerk said, "She is waiting for her husband." How do you know dude???? You never asked me!!!! Don't always assume that the man is in charge of everything. I t made me mad!!!

Nope!

Not recommended. Staff worker came into the room unannounced. Glad I could stop her before she got in too far. Not sure why she was even there. Overall, staff seemed lazy and uncaring about customers. Pool looked dirty. Toilet wouldn’t stop running and TV remote didn’t work properly.

Parking lot was full so we had to pay $50 and park across street. Totally annoyed by this! Parking ticket was good til 5:59am like who wants to get up at 6am after Gasperilla! So my hubby got up ant 6AM annd went to sit in car so we wouldn’t get towed and I joined him ant 7AM! Also fan made noise in room and street racers loud all night! Not ideal!!!

Expected more for price

Disclaimer: I knew up front I wasn't booking a 4* hotel First off, room looked nothing like the images provided. Don't base your decision on the stock photos. Positives: Staff was friendly, location is in walking distance of pretty much everything downtown. Negatives: Bed worn out, like sleeping on a rock, they never brought us linens for the sofa bed which was fine because my child slept on the sofa as is since the bed portion was sagging/broken when she pulled it out, AC/heater unit in the main living area did not work at all, several light bulbs were burned out in the room, valet pick up and drop off is literally the street in front of the hotel (no pull off except some parallel parking spots that may or may not be in use), fixtures worked but were broken, trim was pulling off the wall corners, and this is the first hotel I've stayed in ever that did not have a clock anywhere in the room. Advertised bed was a King, but I'm fairly sure it's a queen as I could drape my hands off both sides when I reached across it. Other reviews talk of traffic noise at night (outside of the Hotel's control so not a knock on them). This is completely true. I felt at times like I was outside on the balcony due to hearing every car that passed by, and I was several floors up. Also: I'm pretty sure they charged my card for incidentals and parking 3x as I received 3 email receipts with different time stamps today, it's not showing on my card yet so more to come on that.

Room was very small for a pull out couch. Difficult to maneuvers around bed and couch. The “bistro” needs some upgrades. Requested linens for pull out but we ended up having to go hunt them down. Hotel def needs a remodel (I.e. hallway carpets very old and worn). Did not think cost per night was equal to quality of hotel.

Staff was 5/5, no airport transportation made the location less convenient. Two, after dark, back to back shootings in the area on 12/30 and 12/31. Suggest to research the area prior to booking anywhere down town Tampa Bay.
