Cosy place in local neighbourhood

Chez Jacques is a very relaxed, cozy place in a local neighbourhood away from the all-inclusive hotels. The surfspots of Tamarin Bay are at your doorstep. Manager Iwan is a genuine friendly guy and very helpful in giving advice about things to do, advice on where to surf, sorting out transport at affordable prices, etc, etc. Enjoyed my stay and without a doubt, would stay there again.

Recommended

Very good low budget hotel. Just 100m to the ocean. The dinner cooked by Ivan was grate. Ivan can give you the best recommendations for the near sights and attractions and reserve the place at the boat for dolphin visit - wonderful attraction.

Lush place to stay with a really friendly host.

Beautiful guest house, 30 second walk to the beach. The host Ivan was brilliant. Happy to sort anything out for you and cooks dinner most nights. Highly recommend staying here if you are heading to Tamarin.

Huoneet ovat pelkistettyjÀ ja vÀrikkÀitÀ. TV:n ja jÀÀkaapin puute ajaa vieraat yhteisiin tiloihin seurustelemaan keskenÀÀn. Illallista Ivan tarjoaa noin joka toinen ilta. PÀivÀllÀ alustavan menuun pohjalta tehdÀÀn varaukset ja Ivan hankkii tuoreet paikalliset raaka-aineet. Menu oli italialais-mauritiuslainen runsaine monimuotoisine alkupaloineen, maukkaan salaattin kera, maistuva pÀÀruoka sekÀ yllÀtysjÀlkiruoka. Koko hotellin vÀki, vieraat ja henkilökunta osallistuvat pitkÀÀn pöytÀÀn katettuun illalliseen, kielien sekamelska yltyy, kun eri puolilta maapalloa saapuneet vieraat vaihtavat mielipiteitÀÀn ja kertovat kokemuksistaan. LÀheinen ranta oli kÀyttökelvoton rankkasateiden vuoksi. Onneksi sillÀ lyhyen ajomatkan pÀÀssÀ sijaitsee ihastuttava Le Mornen ranta, kalliojyrkÀnteineen ja hiekkarantoineen - yksi parhaista kokemistani. Chamarel, viidakko vuoristo alue on myös jotain ainutlaatuista - nÀhtÀvÀÀ riittÀÀ. Kiitos Ivan! Chez Jacques Guest House on hyvÀ paikka viettÀÀ lomaa ja kaipaamme edelleen illallisia. Accueil chaleureux

Idéalement situé, prÚs de la plage publique. L'accueil est trÚs chaleureux. La cour est pleine de charme, une grande cuisine est mise à disposition et les tables installées dehors donnent une ambiance trÚs conviviale. Bonne adresse pour les routards qui privilégient les échanges au luxe aseptisé des grands hÎtels.
