Check in time was 4pm but i had to wait another 30 minutes for my room to be ready. Location was about 10-15 minutes' walk from Ximen station. Room was relatively clean with enough amenities. TV signal and wifi were fine. Service was average.

You may book the room if you can take the water pipe sound throughout the WHOLE NIGHT. Poor sound proof is fine but the water flowing sound will accompany you for the entire night. THE WORSE HOTEL THAT I EVER STAY!

The room is very dirty, stains on the bathtub, dust all over the bedroom that is being circulated by the internal aircon unit. Toilet door doesn't shut properly.

Overall satisfied with the hotel. However the standing shower not suitable for elderly as I need to climb over the wall/partition to take shower. Free 2 breads for each guest & drink only coffee/tea. No free fruits or drinks as per mentioned by previous guests.

Comfortable Stay. No major complaints. Don’t expect too much for breakfast. About 12 min walk to Ximen MRT Station. You can find Starbucks, MacDonalds, City Milk , Adidas, New Balance, Watson’s and many 7/11 stores on the way

Hedo Hotel Kangding

The hotel is 6 minute walk to Ximending and 8 minute walk to Ximen mrt. They have very helpful staff and the 24 hour free snacks (fruits, crackers) and drinks (soda, coffee, tea) is a big plus. The staff were accommodating with our questions and even helped me pack my liquid purchases from the market. The rooms are not that big but have excellent beddings. They could improve though on their breakfast choices. They provided jam and cheese sandwiches everyday for our 4 day stay. I was initially advised via email that breakfast would be from mcdonalds. Thankfully the hotel is near mini canteens/restaurants that sell hot noodles and rice toppings. Housekeeping could improve also. Seems like they only fix the bed and change towels. A little sweeping would be nice. Overall, it has a good location, the kindest and most wonderful staff and very comfortable beds. I would still stay here next time I visit Taipei.

Wrong Turn in Taipei

Pros: Very friendly staff who do their best to overcome their lack of knowledge about Taipei and its attractions and their lack of English-speaking skills. Clean rooms. 24/7 snacks in lobby. Cons: VERY small rooms in a VERY small hotel. Most staff speak only a word or two of English and some don't speak any at all. Hotel is located on a very noisy, smelly street. Hotel is further from attractions than advertised. Their "included breakfast" is assorted egg McMuffins, juice boxes and apples/bananas. No room safe OR hotel safe for clients. I do NOT recommend this property to non-Chinese-speaking persons as English is not spoken by staff.
