The hotel follows a policy of cleaning rooms every other day. Guests are required to place their rubbish and used towels outside their rooms for replacement, which can result in unpleasant smells and cluttered walkways. The rooms are small, and the staff at the lobby are unfriendly, often chatting among themselves instead of attending to guests. Expect long waits for the lift, especially during peak hours. The location is inconvenient—situated at the far end of Ximending, quite a distance from public transport. The entrance on the first floor has an unpleasant smell, and there are no notable amenities or attractions nearby.

The hotel is great, at the best location of Taipei, super convenient to subway and bus stations, a lot of restaurants and vibrant night life. Staffs are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is also nice. Hotel offers currency exchange, however only accept $50 or $100 bills. We had $20 bills so they couldn’t provide the service, That would be my only suggestion. We would definitely stay at Solaria Hotel again.

Rooms are new, you need to have your own amentites for the hotel doesnt provide any. Service is prompt when you request for water. The locatin is most ideal for it is accessible by train and buses. Place is located around food centres and cafes, with convenience stores galore. Its an eco-friendly hotel, they do house-keeping every alternative days of your stay. If you're a person who values privacy and need minimal services, then this is the hotel for you.

Had a great stay here. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and well designed. Bedding was comfortable and housekeeping makes your room every other day, unless otherwise specially requested. Amenities such as shampoo, conditioner and shower gel are provided. Head to the nearby DonDonki to pickup some bath powder to enjoy the lovely Japanese style bath/shower room combo. On site laundry was readily available, as was coffee, tea and water in the lounge area past reception. Breakfast at the hotel was decent, but there are also several soy milk shops in the area serving local breakfast that is very easy for foreigners. The location is very convenient and I would definitely stay here again.

Third stay at Solaria and I’m still impressed by the service from the staff, hotel cleanliness and design. It is centrally located next to the Ximen pedestrian area but you feel you are in a calm oasis as soon as you go through the entrance.
