Stayed for a week on a business trip. The inside portion of the hotel and room itself were nice. The parking lot felt unsafe and a number of times when parking in the lot attached to the hotel I encountered “suspicious” people. If you park in the lot attached to the casino it’s well lit and seems to be monitored better. However you have to walk through the casino which requires a security escort if you have luggage.

Located right off of the freeway it was easy to get to. However, there is no place to eat anywhere other than the casino. They had some good places but everywhere outside of your room and the gym smelled like smoke. If you have an EV there are no charging stations for at least a half a mile. The staff members were very helpful, polite and accommodating. Everyone was very personable.

Initially, I faced challenges gaining entry to the room and using the elevator due to a temperamental scanner. Yet, the premises demonstrate a commendable standard of cleanliness and a delightful fragrance. Additionally, the rooms are expansive, elegantly designed, and pleasing to the eye.

I liked the convenience of staying in the same location as the concert I was going to see. Booking through Expedia was significantly lower price then going through the hotel. Almost a $100 difference. Also i didn’t like how the hotel does not offer later check out. Was told we don’t offer that here.

The hotel is nice and front desk staff are wonderful. The dining service was extremely slow considering it was not busy. We waited for over 45 minutes for our breakfast and the food was cold.

First time staying at the Emerald Queen of Tacoma and I was very impressed. The phone desk staff when I had questions about the reservations were wonderful and I was able to get an early check-in. When I arrived the front desk staff were helpful and friendly The room was on the eighth floor facing the highway and I was worried about the noise but I used some white noise on my phone and slept wonderfully. I ate at the Puyalapub and had fish and chips that was delicious. The waitress was attentive and very nice. I was a bit concerned about having to walk through the smoking casino to get to the non-smoking part but after an evening of gaming, I was surprised when I got back to my room that my clothes did not smell like smoke. The non-smoking side was just wonderful. As for the games, I had lots of fun and came home with cash in my pocket very little, but some cash in my pocket. I would definitely stay there again,

Do NOT stay at the top of the tower

Staff was friendly, check in was easy BUT I did not get any sleep whatsoever. I was on the 10th floor and not sure what is outside hanging off the bldg, or what but there was something slamming up against the bldg all night. Sounded like chain. I complained to the front desk that night and it seems they knew what I was talking about because people have complained about it before. I asked if they could find out what it was or have me moved, they said they were full, I then asked for management and they were unavailable till the morning. I had an appt the following morning and was gone the entire day but when I returned management was gone for the day. After the second night and complaining once again, the staff again (different crew) knew about the issue but still didn't do anything about it. As I was checking out I finally was able to speak to mamagement about the noise and lack of sleep and they would be able to do anything about the bill since $180/night for zero sleep was not ideal. She stated there was nothing she could do, which is BS, and said she'd discount my next stay. There will NOT be a next stay.

The Hotel itself is ok. The pool is way smaller than it looks online. The Casino offers no real meals, the drinks are overpriced and really smokey. The hotel overcharged me an extra day. It took hours of phone calls to get the charge reversed. The staff called me names on the phone, hung up on my over and over. Finally Expedia was able to fix it. I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN! You are metal detected every time you walk from your room to the hotel. The hotel reeks of cigarette smoke. The front desk manager is so rude! Don't waste your time and money. They can and will rip you off! I've never had a Hotel treat me so bad. I travel a couple times a month to Tacoma. I will never, ever, ever, stay here again!
