The Hive - Yurt on Hobby Farm

Welcome to The Hive! This is the second unit on our hobby farm and a nature lovers paradise :) Gorgeous views and abundant wildlife both day and night. After parking near the main home you will take a very short (under 300ft) walk down the hill to the 24ft yurt. On the walk down stop and say hello to the farm animals. Inside the yurt you will have all the amenities to keep you entertained and cozy. Venture out to hike, kayak, shop, etc or just stay in with a good book ❤️

*The yurt is entirely yours to enjoy. Equipped with a queen size bed as well as a queen size futon you'll have plenty of sleeping room to sprawl out or snuggle up. If extra space is needed we can provide a queen size air mattress as well. The rainfall shower with on demand hot water along with natural lighting feel incredibly luxurious! Sit on the deck and take it the surroundings possibly catching a glimpse of the deer residents or dozens of wild turkeys. Go out and explore on a sunny day or cozy up with a good book on a rainy afternoon. Ductless mini split heating/cooling system will keep you comfortable year round.

*Guests are welcome to wander the property and say hi to the animals. If you would like to feed them let us know we are happy to provide feed. You can also give them safe snacks :) if you aren't sure what they can have just ask.
Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned cottage, featuring a kitchen with a refrigerator and a microwave. There's a private patio. A kitchenette makes it easy to prepare your meals. Everything about this reservation was amazing. We went out on a whim and decided to try something different and boy. We were so glad that we did. The host was amazing and very responsive through any questions that we had and we even got to see what it was like to be inside of a yurt during a thunderstorm lol. It was very relaxing and we had two little ones with us. They love the animals and the atmosphere was just all around amazing the only thing I would mention is make sure you have a hotspot with you or be prepared to feel completely off grid, which is not a bad thing. You lose reception once you go down the road to the house at least with Verizon. 10 out of 10 will be staying here again if we visit the area.

Our stay at The Hive was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this property is exceptionally well cared for. The space was spotless, thoughtfully designed, and stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway - even if it was only for only one night! The location was perfect—peaceful and private, yet close enough to local attractions and conveniences. We especially loved the cozy touches throughout the yurt, which made it feel warm and inviting rather than just another rental. The animals were friendly and we loved getting to feed them!Communication with the host was seamless. They were responsive, friendly, and made sure we had all the information we needed for a smooth stay. It’s obvious they take pride in creating a great guest experience. We left feeling refreshed and enjoyed the break from tech. Highly recommend The Hive to anyone looking for a charming, comfortable, and memorable place to stay.

I can’t say enough about how cute and unique this Yurt is!! Very clean, on-demand hot water, shower…heck the whole bathroom is absolutely awesome, bed was super comfortable, atmosphere inside and outside are serene. I was travelling with my two dogs and this was the perfect, fun place to spend a couple nights while visiting family. I wondered how warm the yurt would be at night, but the split unit kept it perfectly comfortable. If its available next time I go to visit this part of my family I will definitely go again!

The Yurt is sooo cute! My teenage daughter and I stayed for an extended weekend. Check in was very simple. Upon arrival we were greeted by some of the farm friends. The Yurt is cozy, clean and stocked with everything you needed. I highly recommend and absolutely plan on visiting again. Thank you for such a memorable visit to Tennessee.

This was a really cool experience, I have never stayed in a yurt before. The shower was really nice, lots of towels, the air conditioning worked great which I was a little bit worried about since it’s almost 100 this week.Everything was as advertised as promised, would definitely stay here again.

Fun Place to stay near downtown Sweetwater

My daughter loved the farm animals and the place was clean and comfortable. If you do have to utilize the futon for sleeping, I suggest bringing a mattress pad. Otherwise it was a great weekend getaway!

Great place for a getaway to relax. We were visited by the farm animals. Watching the kids (baby goats) run and play in the yard was great. And location was easy to find only 5-10 minutes from town. Highly recommend taking a small vehicle we have a basic 2016 ram 1500 and just bearly made it through the gate, with mirrors folded in just a few inches to squeeze through the tree and fence just before the gate.

Perfect if you like camping on a farm.

Perfect get away for 3 or 4. My 2 boys and I had such a good time hanging out and just enjoying time together. It's very quiet, just big enough for us. The Internet/signal is spotty but it makes for disconnecting. We made puzzles and played uno instead of trying to watch TV. The animals are nice to see and pet and if you get to feed them that's a treat too.
