Wonderful break

A fabulous break for two nights. Atmosphere, staff, food, cleanliness all amazing. Felt totally refreshed. Spread out over quite a large area, must be a nightmare keeping it all up to date. Definitely recommend.

We lived the spacious comfortable hotel. Everywhere was spotless and comfortable. It was charming, like stepping back in time. The food was with plenty of choice and well cooked. White cotton tablecloths on the tables. We will certainly be staying again in the future.

Tired

Hotel was tired and didn’t reflect the pictures advertised on website. Located next to run down staff accommodation, swimming pool looked pristine in pictures however the sun terrace was covered in weeds. Information at check was limited and slightly unwelcoming however staff on departure couldn’t have been better. Outside patio and terrace could have done with some tlc. Grass needed cutting and whole house could do with a spruce up repaint

We are regulars at the knoll house , we take our dog with us. Studland Beach is just across the road and is fabulous. The food is really nice. It is such a relaxed atmosphere and quirky old hotel with a lot of history. We love it. !!!

Like me, the hotel is showing its age and would benefit from a spot of TLC. The hotel appears to be popular with oldies, but there are on-site facilities for the younger element. The buffet breakfast is excellent, and the staff conscientiously helpful. We didn’t use the main restaurant as accompanied guests' dogs aren't permitted. Understandable. But we were given to understand by other guests that the food served therein is excellent. A great base for exploring the Jurassic Coast. A ride on on the #50 Purbeck Breezer is to be recommended, especially if you benefit from an OAP's concessionary bus pass.

The Knoll house is like stepping back in time. We loved the history of the place.Our room was lovely with a comfy bed and hot shower,much nicer than I imagined from the exterior.The breakfasts were excellent ! The setting is wonderful.Unfortunately the evening meal is excellent but a bit over priced for us.

We have stayed at the Knoll House before and it is really good if you have a dog. They are very accommodating with animals. We were able to eat with our dog. We stayed in the same room as b4 and it was okay but lacks attention to detail. No wifi again in the room and had to go across to reception to log on. The towels were not hung up and the bed not well made. It was clean but the hotel itself needs a bit of upgrading generally The food was very good and some of the staff were lovely. A beautiful setting lovely grounds and lots of dogs. Thats a good thing.
