We had a wonderful stay at the Purbeck Hotel, Our room (16) was huge, clean, comfortable and had great views over the town and bay. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. We highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is a grand old place with a rich history connected to it, which the owner is more than happy to share with you. Good sized rooms, communal areas and bar. Free, secure carpark. Location short 5min walk to town. Have been before and will come again for sure 👍

To spent our last night in Swanage we transferred from our B&B up to the Purbeck. Ideal location for walkers and location to town and beach . We liked having a lounge and bar for the evening . Bed was comfortable and bathroom standard. Loved looking around the old architecture and period interior detail , a very pleasant stay.

Nice clean, comfortable stay. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Only criticism was breakfast started at 0730 which is maybe why I was unable to book it online and had to do so at the hotel, but as I was working in the area it was a rush getting away in the morning! I would book again if in the area.

The room was spacious and clean and all the staff that we encountered were courteous and helpful. The breakfast was okay, but not exceptional. Sadly the large grounds of the hotel were not as well maintained as we remember from a previous visit. We would consider staying again as the hotel was conveniently situated and had adequate parking.

Very good

Probably the best hotel in town and an interesting building. Good accommodation, free parking and well located. We stayed in room 10 - possibly the largest room and were very pleased with our one night stay as part of a week long tour.

We loved Purbeck House and were intrigued by its history and glad to see it embraced its history. We stayed in the annexe which met all our needs but if ever the opportunity to return would love to stay in the main hotel. We found all the staff to be very friendly and informative and felt they were fully invested in providing the guests with an enjoyable experience.

Great hotel and lovely service. Made us feel very welcome despite arriving late. The bar is well stocked and the hiatory behind the hotel is fascinating.

Price changed on areival and they automatically charged it to my credit card without asking. We made arrangements by phone which got lost. Complajnt was handled jn a rude way. We are not the first to ckmplajn about it being a room only rate its confusing. Breakfast food ran out multiple times whixh isnt good if paying a lot for it. Lively hotel but cant trust the family running it. We also had a power cut in lady lodge and an hour jn darkness.

The Victorian building was remarkable. The tiled flooring in the reception area and the row of servants' bells gave one a sense of stepping back in time. We were in a modern annex to the house, which was immaculate and comfortable. If there was a restaurant it would have been perfect, however there were restaurants close by, and the sea front was also just a short walk.
