COFFEE PLEASE!

This is my 5th time staying at this YOTEL. I book it for location, as I take Amtrak from NYC and walk over from Union Station. I only wish they had coffee makers in the room. They have some type of coffee service in the hall on each floor, but it's a horrible INSTANT coffee machine. NOT brewed. It's also only available from 8-11 am. I went to Walmart and purchased a $10 coffee maker for my room. They also do not have hand towels, which I found very annoying. Towels and facecloths only. The staff here are very good!

The front desk would not answer the phone when I had an issue with the lights. I tried for 30 minutes, then I finally got someone on the phone, and they said they would send someone up, but they never came up—just non-responsive staff.

Not a good experience!

Sorry…this is my first bad review I’ve ever written about a hotel. They advertise they have a fridge in the room, but when we opened the supposed fridge it was warm. I called the front desk and they advised that it is more like a cooler…which the repairman repeated several times when he came to take a look at it. I advised that is not what you advertise on your website, on the hotels.com listing or on the room description on their own info page on the in room TV hotel info channel. Everywhere it says the room has a fridge. They said if we had meds that needed true refrigeration they would bring us one…which they ended up doing. Tv channels selection left a lot to be desired. Two of the channels had the same movies all 3 days on a loop. We asked for new towels on the second day and were given a brown stained one. Yuk!!! And the $25 breakfast is ridiculously overpriced. It was like a continental buffet at any cheap hotel….with eggs brought from the kitchen. Just because you have a hostess and a wait staff that brings you the eggs doesn’t mean it merits a $25 a person price tag on a cheap continental buffet. On the positive side it was safe, near most of the things we wanted to do and relatively clean. This hotel is absolutely overpriced at the supposed 40% off price tag we paid for it.

The restaurant, bar and food are very good. Unfortunately, there is no breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. The pool is not open as of Friday, May 8th. Unfortunately. Parking is 50 Dala per day. The room is small, but the bed is reclining, which is convenient. The shower room is small. There is no toothpaste, but you can get one at the reception. They charge it from the credit card on the first day, which is a hassle for me. I wish they would give me a clear explanation at the beginning.

Pool and terrace was closed the whole time and other reviews also state this, wonder if the pool terrace is ever actually open(?), there is no in room coffee or mini fridge which is strange. Lobby coffee is only there a few hours each morning.. the happy hour at the bar restaurant was decent but only 1 hour. They hit you with a lot of fees if you want breakfast, bag hold, extend hours or anything really. The room was fine
