Beautiful Historic Farmhouse Style Cottage min. to Downtown Boone, Watauga River

Beautifully restored and professionally decorated early 1900’s historic farmhouse style cottage located in the charming Valle Crucis community. A former small B & B, and once owned by the Mast Family, the home is only minutes to downtown Boone and within close proximity of many of the High Country’s top attractions and unique mountain activities. Explore Valle Crucis’s quant shops, visit the original famous Mast General Store, as well as the picturesque Valle Crucis Community Park and the Watauga River for fishing and tubing. Centrally located to Boone, as well as the picturesque towns of Banner Elk, (a short 15 min. drive) and Blowing Rock, (just 20 minutes away). The home includes 3 bedrooms and 3.5 baths, each with its own en suite bathroom. The home features a large Gourmet Kitchen with gas range, granite countertops and a large island great for cooking gourmet meals with counter seating. A laundry room with full size washer/dryer is just off of the kitchen. Adjacent to the spacious kitchen, is a cozy Dining Room that has a large custom-made wood table with seating for seven, and features a period decorative fireplace. The Family Room comprises of a large leather couch and chairs, decorative fireplace, bookcases, game cabinet and a flat screen TV with Bose surround sound for Bluetooth music or for watching your favorite movies or TV’s shows with the included streaming service. Off of the family room, double french doors lead to a covered patio area and garden style backyard that offers two outdoor areas with tables and seating for up to eight. The backyard provides a large circular flagstone fire pit area with seating for six, with nightly timed outdoor tree lighting, great for cooking campfire hot dogs or s’mores. The first floor bedroom features a queen size bed and a en-suite bath with a shower/ tub. A separate powder room is also located on the first floor. Upstairs, the primary bedroom features its own large private deck with outdoor seating for up to five with a gas fireplace table, perfect for stargazing or listening to the seasonal sounds of the Brushy Fork River as you relax in the outdoor space. The suite features a king size bed with a large seating area, a TV, and a large en suite bathroom with double vanities and shower/tub combo. A second bedroom across the hall, features a queen size bed, and a twin size day bed complete with a TV and a en suite tub/ shower bathroom. The Old Cove Creek Store, Bakery and Grill is just around the corner for all of your basic necessities and essentials, or to just grab a quick bite for breakfast or lunch. Additionally the many shops and restaurants of downtown Boone, as well as the campus and stadiums of Appalachian State University are only minutes from the home.
Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned vacation home, which features a fireplace and a Smart TV. There's a private balcony. A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, an oven, and a stovetop. Complimentary wireless internet access is available to keep you connected.

This was one of the nicest VRBO properties we have ever stayed. The house was extremely well maintained with everything we needed. The amenities were outstanding. The check in process was very easy and Christy was a great host. I would highly recommend this property!

Weekend Away

We had a great weekend away. The house was great with a convenient location. We did have an issue but the homeowner was quick to remedy the situation and all was well. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit and s'more kit. It was great!

A hidden gem

We were in town for a short family ski weekend and this place is a hidden gem!! We walked into what felt like the sweetest house that smelt glorious. You immediately felt like you were at home. The decor is gorgeous!! The attention to detail was amazing. There was also a gift basket in the kitchen with essentials that may have been forgotten by a busy family while packing not to mention the smores kit which we all loved. We will definitely be back!! I’m also going to be telling my friends here about this house. Thank you so much!!

Great mountain location, professional communication, clean, comfortable with bathrooms for each bedroom. Great decor and we loved the fire pit. 5 star for sure and plan on staying there again!!
