When we came back from the water park we noticed the reader had actually fallen off our door and I took it downstairs to the front desk. She took the piece that had fallen off the door and taped it to a piece of paper and wrote a note on it. I asked her if it would affect us getting in and out of our room and if I would’ve be charged for something that was already damaged, she expressed that it wouldn’t and appeared to be annoyed by my questioning. However, when we left out for breakfast the next morning, the door locked behind us and we were unable to get back in. The reader was not working. The master key couldn’t even get us into our room either. For almost 2 hours we waited in the hallway with Patricia and Ralph as he used a crow bar and other tools to get into the room. We were unable to utilize the pool before we left because it was too close to check out once we were granted access to our room. Patricia and Ralph were the most positive experience of this whole trip but overall a lot of time was wasted and we weren’t treated fairly. I have pictures and videos of everything listed.

There was a whole lot of noise coming from the room above me jumping around and stomping I complained a few times and nothing was done this is not the only time this happen on my stay here I think ppl with children should stay on the first floor or find another solution and I notice there was mold in the ceiling in the bathroom

Hotel: Holiday Inn Pocono Check-in date: December 3 Check-in time: around 5:00 PM Booking platform: Expedia Issue: Indoor pool not working / misinformation / refusal to compensate We checked in to Holiday Inn Pocono on December 3 at approximately 5:00 PM. Before checking in, I specifically asked the front desk staff whether the indoor pool was available and operational, as this was a critical factor for our stay due to children. The front desk agent clearly confirmed that: • the hotel has an indoor pool, • it is indoor, • and it is working. Immediately after check-in, we went to the pool area and discovered that the pool was not usable at all. The water was extremely cold and not heated, making swimming impossible. Other guests with a child were also present and unable to use the pool for the same reason. A hotel employee who introduced himself as Jacob attempted to fix the issue and repeatedly assured us the pool would be ready: • first in “10 minutes,” • then “20 minutes,” • then “30 minutes.” We waited until approximately 8:30–9:00 PM, but the pool was never fixed, despite multiple promises. The pool closes at 10:00 PM, meaning the service was never provided during our stay. I requested a refund at the front desk due to the non-functioning and misrepresented amenity. The staff refused and stated that since the booking was made through Expedia, I had to contact Expedia directly. The hotel refused to take responsibility, despite: • providing false information
