Stratum accommodation with spa

Very mixed. Older part of the hotel is poor. Newer part of the hotel is nice. They are very different. Staff appear junior and little experience so ran into some issues that took time to resolve. Breakfast average. Location is excellent.

Comfortable beds. Friendly staff. Easy to locate. Overall really nice hotel.

Overall great but a false fire alarm went off extremely early with no apology or explanation, frustrating.

​The room was dusty and didn't seem properly cleaned before my arrival. To make matters worse, no housekeeping or towel refills were provided after the first night. I later found out it’s an "on-request" service, but the staff failed to mention this at check-in. Very disappointed with the lack of communication and basic hygiene standards.

Very large, light room with sink, comfy bed, table and chairs and a TV. Downstairs there is a bar and a takeaway food hatch which was really good. There are buses into town not too far away or you could walk within half an hour. The only thing I didn't like was the shared bathroom although we were right next door to it which was better. As a woman I was a bit cautious. It does say private or shared when booking but I couldn't see any options to specify a preference. A kettle in the room would be a great addition but all in all it was a comfortable stay.
