Certainly a quirky property. Old style but clean and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. It is set in a valley so mobile data limited. The internal wi-fi was prone to dropping out, but could generally be recovered with a reboot. Owners said they were going to upgrade the equipment. There was only 1 bathroom so it could cause a queue at times. There are no supermarkets local, so need a car to get around. If looking for a retreat in a quiet location then this could be suitable. We used it as a base to get to the Circuit at Spa. it's a 30 minute drive thereabouts so was good for us. Kitchen was well equipped and central heating if feeling cold. Log burner in lounge which we chose not to use for ease. TV works through the internet, slow to connect at times and drop out. New receiver would sort this out I imagine. If going to an event at Spa, then would consider again.
Stayed 4 nights in May 2025
