Very Nice

Very nice property. As stated. Really ought to consider getting box fans for all the rooms in the summer months. Very hot as it's on the 3rd floor. Opening windows does not help move the air. That simple fix could mage all the difference in being more comfortable atWakefield at

I would stay here again.

I tried contacting the host for early check in and they never responded. I had to call the number given in order to get a hold of someone. During check in, it says that a parking pass will be included in the check in envelope. It was not. I had to go to the front desk to get that and other parking tags. And, even though the unit slept 8, only 1 parking pass was included in the stay. The complex: not included in the listing details, there is a VIP shuttle that the complex offers. You have to go to the front desk for the information. Luckily, someone we stayed with was familiar enough with the complex to know that it existed and tell me to ask about it. It's a great perk! The amenities offered a nice too. 3 hot tubs, sauna, indoor and outdoor pool. The unit: the large one bedroom stayed very cold (even after adjusting the temp) while the main living and other sleeping spaces were hot most of the stay. There were plenty of towels, linens, and kitchen supplies. The kitchen was one of the better stocked rentals I've stayed in. But it is very tight. The drawer under the stove is barely functional and the dish washer capacity is limited due to it being located under the sink. When stripping the beds for check out, the pillows need replaced. They are yellow. The location: 10/10! Less than 5 min to/from the slopes. Walking distance to a very cute grocery and liquor store that also has food and ice cream. Less than 10 min shuttle to downtown.

Enjoyed our Stay

Well equipped and had large beds (firm)great amenities. Had several box fans but no air conditioning so upper loft got hot. Pillows were not the best. They have games which was fun for the family to play. Very secure and private garage for vehicle. Free laundry facilities on site.

It's a ski condo

Location was great, kitchen was well appointed. Had to go to a couple of offices before we found the right one for check-in. Might want to consider new mattresses and carpet. It's a typical ski condo that worked just fine for our needs.

Steamboat in the Summer

The property itself is awesome. Clean in great condition. Beds are comfortable. All things in working order. Location is awesome and the scenery is amazing. Here are the cons for renting in the summer. Shuttle services do not run in the summer time do to staffing. Completely understandable, but wish I would have know that prior to booking. This unit does not have an air conditioning unit. Which is also something I wish I had known prior to booking. Temps were in the upwards of 90+ during our stay. There is a loft bedroom that never cooled off and I highly recommend that Vacasa get a mini portable ac for that area. So please be ware if you are renting in the summer you will run the risk of being hot and uncomfortable.

Great place to stay with a group!

We celebrated the birthday of a friend while staying at this condo and couldn't be happier. Not only was it cozy but the beds were comfy and the kitchen was great! Access to the pool and hot tubs was lovely added benefit too! The only downside was that I was a little confused finding the office to check in. Be sure to note that this office is down the street, not on site.

Great - with a few comments!

It was great. I was a little bit disappointed that the water filter system did not work. Also, a description how to find the apartment in the building would be beneficial for users as well. Thank you!

Beautiful, spacious, and perfect for a large group.

We loved our stay! There was a group of 10 of us and the condo was perfectly sized. Plenty of bathrooms and beds. Previous reviews noted a lack of adequate kitchen supplies, but we had plenty. I think they must have stocked up more prior to our stay. Plenty of pots/pans/utensils. The ski slope was easy to get to with the free shuttle and it’s just a couple minutes away. Communication throughout our stay was great. I was checked on nightly to make sure we didn’t need anything. The only thing that was a bit confusing was parking. We were able to get 2 garage spots, but the other 2 vehicles had to park offsite. The instructions say “parking is first come first serve” on the property, but we were never given good instructions on where we could park without garage passes. The overflow parking we were given directions to off site was about 1/4 mile to 1/2 mile after the last shuttle drop off which was not ideal. I would recommend the resort give better parking instructions if possible but that’s my only suggestion. Everything else was great!!

Family-friendly, fabulous location, great service!

Can't beat spring skiing in Steamboat. We've stayed at several locations in Steamboat over the years and love all the amenities at Trappeur's Crossing. The condo itself has a unique layout that worked well for two small families sharing space. We had a minor maintenance issue and a couple special requests and the staff were prompt and professional in helping us out. The condo could use an extra cutting board or two, but had plenty of everything else needed including humidifiers and fans.

Good value

Master bedroom (the attached room) is very spacious but the other master suite is quite small and is difficult to keep any luggage in if using both sides of the bed - it has one quite small closet. Thankfully the den is nearby and a good option for that. The condo has a good selection of dishes and utensils but limited pans (so you can't make eggs, sausage and pancakes for a larger group at the same time on the stove top) which were not very clean when we arrived. One suggestion would be to provide cooking spray to make the cleaning easier. The building ski shuttle runs frequently and makes getting to and from the mountain easy and with 3 hot tubs there is generally always space to relax after a day on the mountain.
