Torian Plum Plaza is the BEST place to stay at Steamboat! The only building that's just a smidge closer to the gondola is the Sheraton, but that's a hotel, so if you want a condo with bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, etc, you want to stay here! It's truly ski-in (you can ski from the run until the snow stops at the brick pavers, take off your skis, then walk 100 feet to the door of the condo!) and ski-out (put skis on, ski downhill to the gondola or lift, then on your way). We really loved skiing at Steamboat, great mountain for all levels! The beds here were very comfy, so that was great, but I found the living room furniture not so great. The leather sofa was slippery so you couldn't relax and lean back into it, I actually wound up watching TV in the bedroom since the bed was so comfy. The unit could use some updating (the pics are accurate), but the fancier units cost more money and this place fit our budget. Whether you stay at this condo or another in this building, Torian Plum is where you want to stay!
