The property seemed recently renovated an clean. The staff member I spoke with upon check-in was not very welcoming of friendly. The internet went out a couple of times and the TV was constantly losing channels and picture. This hotel needs a ski locker and a shuttle bus to the mountain. Overall, it was just ok. I would need to think hard about booking this hotel again.

The property itself was very nice, but breakfast was an issue when there was no hot food available for 15-20 minutes during peak times. There was also limited seating during these times.

This was an unbelievable hotel for the price. The local bus shuttles you free to the mountain every day, There is a hot breakfast served every day that is delicious and after a long ski day, you can soak in their jacuzzi.

So easy to get to the base of Steamboat as the public transportation picks you up RIGHT FROM Holiday Inn Express. The hot tub was in good working order and very clean. The breakfast provided was rather robust and saved me $$ each day. Above average coffee was available all day.

The Holiday Inn Express is halfway between town and the mountain. The free bus system stops about every 20 minutes so it is relatively easy to navigate, although the route is not always direct, particularly to downtown. There isn’t much within walking distance, so the bus or car is necessary. Breakfast was a nice touch and I appreciated that both hot and cold items were available—more variety of fresh fruits and vegetables would be great. Staff was friendly but don’t expect concierge service. It is great to have a hot tub, even an indoor one. It would be nice to have more ski lodge ambiance, both indoor and outdoor gathering spaces. Overall this is a well kept hotel and a good value for a ski trip.

Breakfast is just pretty darn gross for the price point. They try but the intestinal upset lasting days is not worth it. The bed was too old, sagging, killed my back.

The place is very clean and we loved that. The night staff isn't very knowledgeable. It was hard to figure out the blinds and she didn't know how to work them. She had to call someone to come in and show us how to work them. I liked the hot tub, but the room needs ventilation! We really enjoyed out stay.
