Disliked: Cleanliness
The best thing about this home is the proximity to the water and the views off the back deck. Unfortunately, for us, that is where the great things end. The place needs a thorough deep clean. The baseboards, the bathrooms, the edges of the floors where it meets the wall, all need to be scrubbed. There are A LOT of stairs, so many in fact, that our phones alerted us that we were climbing a lot more stairs than normal. If you are coming in from the beach and need to go to a bedroom, you are climbing 3 flights of stairs. Just helpful information for those with little ones or elderly people. I broke my knee years ago and the amount of stairs we had to climb aggravated it. We didn’t cook at all, so I can’t speak to how stocked the kitchen is. The couches are uncomfortable, hardly any padding in them, the pillows got feathers all over the couches and our clothes. The end tables next to the couches were tv trays. I wish I could say better things about the place but the cleanliness was an issue. Being it was Spring Break and there was no other availability for a beach front place, we stayed. Had there been another availability, we would have asked the owner if we could cancel our trip. For the amount of money we paid, they could easily pay for a great cleaner.
