Friends Birthday/Getaway Weekend

Amazing experience from beginning to end! Check in with Will at the front desk…a breeze, and he was such a kind, helpful man! Sunny, from the Spa, applying sparky hair strands in the lobby was a big hit with both the females and the males in our party, adding a fun, festive, and a great look for our night out at the disco club! Our annual Christmas gift exchange in the comfortable, spacious lobby with delicious libations from the bar was also a highlight of the afternoon. Greg, our hotel shuttle driver was a great help in getting us from the hotel to local shops, then to the club, accommodating our large party and letting us relax and enjoy the ride! At the end of the evening, night caps in the cozy bar, with staff allowing us to stay and enjoy our company until closing time. The rooms were clean, the beds cozy, and the staff friendly! I have had the pleasure of staying here several times in the past, and would definitely recommend The Hollander as a go to destination in DTSP!

It's small and cozy, a nice big porch to hang out on and a really good restaurant. I did not visit the pool. They offer unlimited bottles of water at the desk and allow dogs. (book early and communicate with them, because they have a limited number of pet friendly rooms). staff super friendly and accomodating. rooms are small but nice/funky decor and have bathtubs and plenty of hot water. my only complaint is that there is a mild mildew odor in the hallways and rooms (probably unavoidable in St. Pete...) and the air conditioner, which is high on the wall across from the bed, shows the temp very large and brightly lit up ..so I covered it with a hand towel to block it out for sleeping.

Exceptional value and lively

The hotel was clean, restaurant was excellent and busy with locals, welcoming to have guests sitting in the lobby and porch, and pool area was great (lots of lounges, tables and couches). There was a little musty smell because of the age of the hotel. Price was very reasonable, FREE parking ( savings of $35-$48 per night) and friendly staff. Hotel had a busy vibe downstairs vs. a funeral parlor type atmosphere at other hotels that I have stayed at in St Pete.

Great Boutique hotel ... cool decor. Extremely clean. Excellent restaurant. Nice staff. Only issue was the A/C fan which would cut in and out during the night, which disrupted my sleep somewhat. We would, however, most definitely, return.

Terrific property - a cozy and charming feel- I felt like I was at home. Wonderful dining/bar with cute coffee shop with a delicious hot cup of coffee to offer in the mornings. Slept wonderfully in their comfortable beds and lush pillows. It was a very clean and incredibly spacious room. Staff were truly welcoming. Thanks for a memorable experience- i’ll be sure to come back!

I really enjoyed the hotel restaurant and the atmosphere. The pool was beautiful and there were plenty of chairs for guests. I liked that you can get a free bottle of water at the front desk whenever you want. The only negative is that rooms on my side of the building, which over looked the parking area, were a bit loud. A lot of car noises from the parking lot and traffic noises in general.

I loved this place! The location was centrally located - about 20 minutes to walk to the harbour and centre of town. The staff were amazing - it felt like we were with family. Restaurant: The food was really good. Simple and tasty. The restaurant was open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The veranda was so nice to enjoy a coffee or meal. Amazing dessert options. Lobby: It was alway busy with guests coming and going or just sitting relaxing. Pleasant to be in. Staff: The people working here were all so friendly and accommodating. They seemed to really enjoy their jobs. Room: The guest room was basic (this is an old hotel) but clean, quiet, and the bed was comfortable. The mattress was firm with a pillow top. My only complaint is the room was really dark. The walls were painted dark. The windows were small. The lighting was inadequate and glaring. Pretty much impossible to read for any length of time.
