Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities
We stayed last minute for the Halsey concert 6/18. The location is good, it’s easy to find and parking was easy to navigate.
I’m a travel agent, so I travel often. La Quinta’s are usually my go-to lower budget hotel for the cleanliness standards alone.
I cannot tell you how filthy this hotel was. The lobby is fine, but once you got into the elevator all illusions shattered. There was small pieces of… trash? I think? Tracked through the hallway. My room had some sort of brown liquid dripping down the wall (I have pictures of this). The bed and sheets were clean and bug free so we stayed and didn’t make a fuss because that’s all we needed anyway.
The next day we go to get breakfast - except the guy checking us in didn’t tell us when it ended, simply that it was available “in the morning”. At 10:30 when we went to go eat, the front desk agent acted like we had committed a cardinal sin for simply walking towards the breakfast area.
So, I will not be returning. I will find other places in STL to stay from now on.
