Accommodations were fine. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Have issue with check-in staff smelling of marijuana. We also have 2 expensive pairs of sunglasses 'missing'. We had to keep our luggage in the storage closet before our room was ready....and haven't seen the sunglasses since we put them in there.

Great hotel for central Clayton, MO

Hotel was very nice and the breakfast buffet is by far one of the best ones I have had. Location is really central for Clayton.

This was a good option as far as location and price for our family. Is this place modern? No. Does it need to be? No. It definitely had seen better days in prior decades, but they are working on updating. Our room had been mostly updated with flooring and a bathroom with a temperature controlled shower and great lighting. They also offered a complimentary breakfast buffet spread for guests. It's one of the better ones we have seen.

It was very nice in the lobby. The area around the hotel has many walkable great restaurants and bars. Close to the Shaw park pool. The bathroom was a bit rundown. With warpred cracked wood and peeling wall paper. The air conditioning had to be kept at 70. There was a ceiling fan.

Convenient location to dining options. Booked room with jacuzzi tub so husband could relax. Hot tub was nice but not much pressure from the jets. Room had no tv channel guide, nor did it have closed caption (that worked). Windows were not able to close and had large gaps allowing heat from city to get in. Had to keep curtains closed to help block the incoming humidity. No usb ports ANYwhere in the room, not even on the lamps. Room was very very dark too with few lights even if we had been able to open the curtains. They had stated they were undergoing remodeling and to excuse the mess. I had noted this from reviews over the past few months. I WISH there would have been remodeling going on as it desperately needs a lot of work but no construction or current work in process could be seen anywhere. Breakfast was delicious tho. Have to dine in the restaurant and cannot take it up to your room. But it really was good and they had a lot to choose from. Staff was friendly enough but nothing special, just ok. Asked front desk for more coffee for our room and it was only then they offered some bottle water for the room which they keep behind the desk. (Why not put it in each room?) Pool was really in disrepair but people seemed to be enjoying the water, paint was flaking off the concrete all around it tho. Would be really nice if they just did a bit of work and threw in some normal modern upgrades.
