interesting, sort of a great room, had siri to help us, mostly she didn't help...but loved the room, bath, bed, et al...glad to have an elevator to the third floor, loved the hot tub, slept well, parking interesting, not difficult, but sort of grab as can grab, breakfast room to small, but allows a lot of friendly (thank god) conversation with fellow travellers...people helpful and largely friendly

The Standard Room (King) was very spacious and comfortable, and made for a lovely base of operations in St. John's. The historical character of the building is so unique and refreshing in a day of dull corporate hotels that aim to maximize space and efficiency, but have zero charm.

Like the location as walked to many places we wanted to visit. Liked the character being a historic building but would have liked more comfortable chairs. they fit the decor but weren't comfortable and seemed unstable.

Hard To Find Your Room

Very nice looking hotel with interesting history. Our room was very nice and quite unusual. The issue is with the desk staff who told us our room was just down the hall and up the elevator. It was down the hall, up the elevator, then two separate flights of stairs. We needed a Sherpa to help find our room the first time. Very unhelpful staff

Quaint old style hotel in a fabulous location. Breakfast is basic. We were on the fourth floor which had sloped walls and was only accessible by stairs from the third floor. Staff were very friendly and we enjoyed our stay. Would return.
