The setting was perfect, the description of a woodland retreat was spot on. We loved sitting gazing out at the squirrels playing in the trees and were lucky enough to have them come up to the door and peer in. After leaving out almonds for them we had daily visits.Seagulls Rest was beautifully styled, it felt welcoming and cosy. Thank.you to Tina who was so helpful with our enquiries. We had an amazing stay, and holiday.

Advertised for 4 people but definitely more suitable for family with 2 young children. Chalet was very small and only has one mirror in the main bedroom so with 2 older daughters getting ready to go out was a bit chaotic. Think the photos may have been taken some time ago as the property feels a bit tired and some of the issues mentioned in other reviews are still to be resolved. We’ve stayed at several VRBO properties so surprised this had such a high rating.

Lovely space with a cute seaside theme, perfect for our little family weekend in Cornwall. The surrounding woodland area is peaceful and secluded too. Our host was very communicative and welcoming, very kindly leaving a little treat for our children and dog. We would definitely love to stay again

So many things amiss with this property. My friend and I stayed for 3 nights she had the double room and I had the twin room. My bed was so uncomfortable the mattress was old and springs could be felt. It had been covered in several layers of bedding but that did not disguise the fact that the mattress needed replacing. I spent half of the first night on the sofa. Second night in other bed also hard and uncomfortable so doubled up the single duvet to cushion my back. In the double room the mattress was so soft and gave no support my friend did not want to look at the quality of her mattress but I suspect it is also old. There was absolutely no space around the bed so she had to climb over it to pull down the blind which had a large hole in the lining, or to open the window. The tap in the bathroom came off whenever you used it there was no mirror light above the basin and no catch whatsoever on the door. The kitchen was clean and plenty of utensils but the cooker dials had all had the markings cleaned off so it was guesswork to use the oven or grill. Also in the kitchen a bin with no lid! The email we received said the pool and entertainment was extra and could only be arrange through the owner/ not so as the receptionist in the park said we could get one there. This extra cost was not mentioned on booking but only on the email received 3 days before arrived. The park itself was most pleasant and we would stay there again but not at any of the properties of this host.

Overall it was ok. If definitely was not a 10 rating. The WiFi was spotty. I tried to call the host and I could not hear her. There needs to be more instructions on how to work things like the shower, the heater, and the doors are horrible to unlock. Two keys to unlock the doors leading into the unit. The unit was clean. The beds were comfortable enough.

The property was immaculate and can't fault anything. Would definitely recommend staying here if you have a dog as theres lovely walks in the woodland, whilst being a short distance from St Ives.

Thanks so much Tina, we had an absolutely fantastic 5 night break away at Seagull’s Rest. The property itself is really lovely, super cosy and was absolutely spotless. Lots of attention to detail and even a hamper of essentials was provided for the pooch. The woodland grounds are equally as nice, with lots of squirrels and birds right on the doorstep. It was so quiet and peaceful and was the perfect base for our travels around Cornwall. We couldn’t have booked anywhere better for what we needed. Would recommend in a heartbeat.
