Unable to check in until almost 5 pm since room was not ready. Microwave oven not working because electric cord looked spliced with wires showing. New owners who bought the Quality Inn franchise have taken over the Southern Oaks Inn from prior owners. Landscaping already looking bad.

We love free breakfast, dog park and the best part- free shuttle to downtown! We were looking for a dog friendly option for our stay and it was excellent choice!

Once we arrived I noticed the location of the hotel is right next to the highway, I was concerned about the noise disturbance then I asked where was our room and it looked far enough, once we arrived to the room I heard a dog barking next door! A big dog!!! I decided to go to the front desk and the answer was “I am sorry we are fully booked and the dog is there because you are in the PET AREA” very very dissatisfied for me! So I obviously had the barking of dogs at night, in the morning more than one barking and walking around and in addition the door handle of the bathroom is not working and after having a shower I needed to wait for my husband to come back to the room to open the door for me!!! Luckily he was only looking for ice… I wan to request a refund for my staying and I request to hotels.com to update the pictures of this property because is literally falling apart!!!!

The breakfast food was good and also hot. No bacon, but hard to cook it right to everyone’s taste anyway. Had no concerns with anything. Room was well kept and all the washroom necessities excellent.Would recommend this facility in a heartbeat.
