The room was clean and the staff courteous. Hotel carpets, particularly in the elevators, could be heightened. The challenge with this hotel is the major construction currently underway across from the venue, the location adjacent to the inter-state railroad (which causes constant shaking as a train moves through) and the general lack of amenities in the hotel itself including long walks to the buiding's elevators, etc. Housed inside a historical building with many artistic features includng the inside train, this is a wonderful hotel for anyone wanting to be close to the Lucas Stadium or the convention center. The restaurant, which did not have much menu variety, is adequate but the hotel is not close to a lot of other food options (vegan, etc.). The biggest concern is the hotel layout, which causes long walks around low-hanging overheads, which is somewhat captured in the photo.

A lot of construction going on in the area. Checked in and there were drinks sitting outside of our door. The drinks were never picked up for the entire day. We stayed on the train. The layout of the hotel was beautiful. Staff were friendly and polite. Had great advice on where to eat.

The check in was awful. The woman working was very rude. She knew our reservation had not been honored but said nothing. When we went back to the desk to complain, she simply said they were out of double rooms. She offered to move us to a "Queen Executive" room but refused to explain what that was. Finally, she gave us a breakfast coupons and told us breakfast was served until noon the next day. It was not. Two other employees were standing right there. They heard her say it and did not correct her. We went to go to breakfast after we checked out at 11 and everything was shut down.
