The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and the bathroom updated. There was a microwave and refrigerator in the room which is really convenient. The hotel is a few yards from the Spokane River with a beautiful trail that leads through the campus of Ganzaga. There is also a wonderful hot tub available during the colder months. The reason for the 4 star rating is because on our pool view patio there was a pile of dog poop and water bottles filled with cigarette butts right outside our sliding glass door, Yuk! We called the front desk you sent someone to clean it up.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights. We chose it based on the reviews, but it felt like all the reviews were lies. We stayed on the first floor, but at night the noise from people walking on the second floor was very loud. The building is so old that it sounded like it might collapse. We could even hear the sound of someone urinating very clearly. When we first entered the room, the smell was so strong that we had to keep all the doors open, even though it was very cold. Although the bathroom had been cleaned, there was still hair left behind. We had no choice but to stay in such an unclean place, and when we checked out, they charged us extra for resort fees, saying it was for the towels and water we used. Considering how rundown the hotel was, the fees were far too expensive. The front desk staff were extremely unfriendly. Instead of listening to our complaints, when we mentioned that we booked through Expedia, she complained about Expedia being terrible. I tried to explain that many customers book through Expedia and that it should be respected, but she just shook her head. I believe that some of the positive reviews for this hotel are likely fabricated. The hotel is very dark and unclean. I will not be returning, and I don’t even want to think about it. The staff’s attitude, in particular, was absolutely disgusting.
