Good area, friendly staff. The wifi was down, which was a shame. The room could best be described as 'quirky' - it was a garret converted from the loft. But the main thing was the heat - it was a hot day and the room was like a furnace all night. The open window and the desk fan made no difference. Heat rises, I guess, but it was so hot I was ill all next day. Bear that in mind when booking: avoid the top floor on a hot day.
Lovely hotel, friendly staff, great breakfast with both a continental and made to order service (not to be missed), overall good value. The little brownies and mini cupcakes at the front desk were a nice touch too

Quirky hotel, poor value in graduation week
Our stay in Exeter coincided with Graduation Week. Hence hotel prices throughout the city were raised to exorbitant levels. The price we paid at Queens Court was definitely not good value for money. On arrival we were told that the wifi was not working but they were attempting to get this fixed. We were offered free breakfast as compensation. The wifi was working again the following day. We had booked a deluxe room - the room was OK, bed comfortable, excellent shower but the size and layout of the room did not justify the description deluxe. Decoration throughout the public areas of the hotel was smart but rather quirky. Breakfast was good and the staff were helpful and friendly. In summary - an OK stay in a rather eccentric hotel but definitely not good value for money in this university graduation week.
The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming, the room was comfortable, and the breakfast excellent. I would be happy to stay again. The hotel is conveniently situated for both railway stations and for the Cathedral.
I've been several times when visiting my daughter at the university. The hotel is always friendly and clean, everything works and i always sleep well.

So hot in the basement room that we could not sleep. We opened the window to try and help, but sadly could only hear the air conditioner unit running, alas none of the cold air was coming into our room. Noise from the kitchen staff in the morning did not help either.
The room location is poor.
Excellent welcome. Large airy twin room with comfy bed and pillows and a big modern bathroom. Super breakfast buffet and great hot breakfast included. Really well located for town stations and Uni.
Lovely hotel with excellent staff who were always attentive and helpful. Really good breakfast with a selection of pastries, fruit, etc and a selection of hot food cooked to order.Easy parking opposite hotel. Would highly recommend this hotel
Lovely small hotel in a great location. The room was very comfortable and clean and the staff were all so friendly and efficient. The breakfast was fantastic with a great range of fruit, yogurt, nuts, seeds etc as well as a cooked option. Great value, too. Highly recommend.
The property was good and in a good location , i was disappointed with the breakfast times i had to miss breakfast which i paid for, due to breakfast being served to late 07.30 i needed to be at work for 08.00.
Plus Limited parking around the hotel.
Absolute gem of a place, this was our second visit as it's location is super and the hotel itself is a bit quirky and non chain. If travelling by train go to Exeter Central as St David's is uphill.
