I wanted to spend 2 months on the beach with a heated pool. The heated pool was very important because I had 2 recent knee replacements and a broken back. I wanted a HEATED pool to be able to daily walk in it and do PT workouts. When I arrived at the location, I discovered that the condo had a great view, right on the ocean but it had several problems. The first, and major problem, was that it did NOT have a heated pool. The pool was too cold to use! When I contacted the owner, he said that he would check on it and get back to me, which he never did. He also told me that there was a kiddie pool that was heated. The kiddie pool was about 14" deep and 8 feet across. I checked in the office to see if the lack of a heated pool was a new situation. They said that it was not and the owner had owned the condo for about 2 years & definitely would have been aware of this. The VRBO description listed a "HEATED POOL" a couple of times in its description. In addition, when I arrived, the condo was not very clean & the floors were very dirty. The kitchen garbage can had a new bag in it, but there was rotten food underneath the bag. I had to buy cleaning supplies (mop, toilet brush) as none were available. My third concern was the lack of communication from the owner. I had to ask for information several times and often received incorrect info. from a BOT program. The owner told me that he would get back to me about all the issues, and he did not. He did nothing to rectify them.
