Very cute hotel, right next to downtown area so we were able to walk to town each day. Parking lot available right there as well. Only 7 mins from Acadia! So convenient. Nice spacious room as well! We had a private door with a little balcony as well.

I can’t make a review on Bar Harbor Manor because Expedia falsely advertised a room availability here. Thankfully Bar Harbor Manor realized the inaccuracy and called me to tell me they were able to take care of it and upgraded me to a bigger room at one of their sister location San Bar Cottage Inn. So thank you very much to them. No help or notification from Expedia. This review from the above star ratings were for the Sand Bar. I’ll think twice about booking through Expedia, and for the people reading this review… you should as well. If it hadn’t have been for the Bar Harbor Inn and Sand Bar Inn, I could have been SOL and lost my money.

Large balcony, room was pretty; love the fireplace. Lobby help was friendly and helpful. Appreciated the grab and go breakfast and loved the hot apple cider. Excellent location.

Location Location Location! Quaint room, close to city center restaurants and shopping, a block away from a grocery store, 1/2 mile from the Bar Island Trail and an easy commute to Acadia. Grab and go breakfast was a nice surprise with coffee, juice, yogurt, fruit, cereal and best of all fresh blueberry muffins! Would definitely stay again of in the area :-)

Service was excellent. Had chicken noodle soup in lobby around 5:00 pm, along with cookies and coffee. Very nice touch. Made excellent dinner recommendations that weee spot on. Even mailed a post card for us. Good location for walking the entire downtown.

We stayed for 4 nights at the Bar Harbor Manor and had an incredible time! Visiting Acadia was one of our favorite vacations to date and a HUGE part of that was the Manor's Manager, Constance. She was beyond welcoming and helpful and was always happy to answer all of our questions and give us EXCELLENT hiking, biking, and dining recommendations. We stayed in a suite which was ideal for our extended stay - plenty of room to spread out: it was very quiet, very clean and it was an easy walk to downtown for shopping, dining, walking and gorgeous harbor views. After a full day of hiking or biking, we especially appreciated the shower's strong water pressure and hot water temperature and comfortable bed. A couple of areas the inn may choose to address at some point: replace pillows with more comfortable ones, replace tired bedspread, sofa; change up or add more "grab & go" breakfast items, especially for those who have extended stays. Keep the fruit, yogurt, juice, water and coffee/tea bar, but rotate bakery items with higher quality/variety and replace instant oatmeal with a vat of home cooked oatmeal with choice of toppings and maybe add boiled eggs. All in all, we would 100% recommend The Bar Harbor Manor to anyone looking for a five star experience.

If you’re a Gilmore Girls fan, Bar Harbor Manor is your Dragonfly Inn, and Constance is your Lorelei! The space was decorated for fall, warm apple cider greeted us as we walked in and Constance went out of her way to draft an itinerary for us for our day in town. The room was so clean and the service was just lovely. We couldn’t have had a better stay! Truly like a dream!! Thank you, Constance!

The property is ideally located so everything you would need is within walking distance. Very clean and the cider and soup at check-in were outstanding! Recommendations for dinner were spot in from the staff and we would absolutely stay here again in the future!
