Asking the front desk lady on Friday for anything was an absolute hassle and she made it seem like the world was ending when we asked for towels. Three of us were staying in each of us had similar acquaintances with her. Everything else was fantastic and the lady on Saturday evening was great. That one bad experience with that lady was just so shocking and she handles people so poorly, I have no idea how many people she more than likely runs out of the place, but it is astounding. I have to imagine this particular employee gets reviews like this all the time because we interacted with her three different occasions for less than 30 seconds separately, and all came to the same conclusion, almost baffled in shocked at how rude and unwilling to do the simplest parts of her job she was.Everything else 10/10. Customer service on Friday evening, December 5, 0/10.

When we arrived, they had not received communication from Expedia that we had requested a pet-friendly room, although we did note it in the Special Requests. There was no other place we could find to record this on your site. They were able to switch us to a pet friendly room, but it seems like you should have a check-box for this on your site so the info gets to the hotel.

This is a very nice, quiet property in a little quiet town. It is right on the lake, we recommend paying extra for the lake side. Lovely view! The room was a nice size with two sinks, one in the bathroom and one in the room. That made it easy to get ready in the morning. Breakfast is continental, but still offered quite a few things like cereal, bagels, yogurt and hard boiled eggs. Staff was friendly. Our only negative would be that some staff stand around talking loudly about other residents in the area. We didn't enjoy that while trying to eat breakfast. We would definitely stay there again if in the area.

Nice, warm pool. Nice rooms. Beautiful view of the river. Staff seemed stressed and over-worked. They acted as if answering simple questions or assisting with simple requests, like taking a food order at the bar and helping us get our tv working, was a major inconvenience. Very crabby and shouldn't take it out on guests.

We’ll be back if we need to stay in the area. The hotel is showing its age, our room wasn’t cleaned that well but I didn’t complain (the bed and toilet were clean, that’s the most important to me), The staff (which were friendly when we dealt with them) seemed to be running on a thin crew (like everyone else). We were in the area for a wedding and this hotel was super convenient for that.

The location was great. Had a lake view room and was able to watch the sunrise. The pool and hot tub were clean and warm. The staff were friendly, allowing us us of the lake side bbq. Rooms were updated and clean.

Weekend getaway

I booked this hotel on a whim for a weekend trip and the Saint Croix Inn was an unexpected surprise. The staff were very welcoming and kind. Megan got us checked in quickly and gave us the low down on the lounge and pool hours. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The inn sits right on the shores of the lake and offers complimentary water toys. There are plenty of spaces to sit and enjoy the view. We loved hanging out on the deck. There is a bar/lounge on site offering a full bar and limited food menu. Again Megan was amazing, she was so personable and took good care of everyone. I’m pretty sure no one went thirsty during our stay. The food and drinks were really good. We loved our stay so much we are already thinking about planning another stay.
