Running River House is a modern, spacious seven-bedroom home located right in the centre of Sneem village on the Ring of Kerry. Sleeping up to 14 guests, it’s ideal for family holidays or group stays. The property sits beside its sister home, Sound of the River, allowing both houses to be booked together for larger gatherings of up to 28 guests.

The setting is excellent. To the rear, the private garden runs down towards the river and is fully enclosed with secure fencing. As the river is close by, young children should always be supervised when outdoors.

Step outside the front door and you’re in the heart of Sneem, with its welcoming pubs, cafés and local shops. Kenmare is approximately a 20-minute drive away, and the sandy beaches near Caherdaniel and Derrynane are also within easy reach.

Inside, the ground floor offers a bright open-plan kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped with a large fridge/freezer, oven, hob, microwave and dishwasher, along with an island unit and high stools for casual seating. The dining table seats 8–10 guests, and we’re happy to assist with additional dining arrangements where possible. A utility room off the kitchen includes a washing machine and tumble dryer.

Double doors open onto the rear patio — a peaceful spot to relax and enjoy the sound of the river.

The house is arranged over three floors. On the ground floor there is a king bedroom with ensuite, along with a separate guest WC. The first floor has four further bedrooms: three kings (two ensuite) and one twin room, plus a family bathroom with a freestanding bath and separate shower. On the top floor you’ll find two twin bedrooms (two single beds in each) sharing a bathroom, making this level ideal for children or teenagers.

Free Wi-Fi is provided. All bed linen and house towels are included. If you plan to visit the beach, please bring your own beach towels.

Outdoor furniture is provided. There is no BBQ.
