the staff was great, very friendly and helpful. breakfast was good too, altho no variety for the 4 breakfasts we had there. the area is very walkable and convenient as it’s close to the bus stops and ferry. there’s tons of restaurants along the promenade, and while it’s very loud down there, you couldn’t really hear the noise in the room which was perfect. we stayed in a waterfront room and the balcony was a perfect spot to watch the sunrise. the room had USB and USB-C outlets, 1 on each side of the bed, and one on the desk which is really convenient if you forget to bring a plug adapter (which btw is the UK plug type G). only downside is how hard the bed is. i saw it mentioned in the reviews but i didn’t think much of it, but oh man they definitely did a number on my back, especially because we stayed there for 5 nights. crazy thing is my partner didn’t mind it at all while every night and morning was a struggle for me. other than that, we liked our stay here.

Hotel is clean, tidy, and conveniently located, with relatively easy transport links to a lot of the island, or the Valetta transport hub which can reach the areas not covered by the buses going from or through Silema. If I had any niggle it would be the shower design, practically guaranteed to get water all over the bathroom floor, but that was a minor issue.

Comfortable hotel room (would have appreciated more storage) but the stand out feature of staying here is the staff. The receptionists are all very friendly and the pub that is part of the hotel was great. The service was exceptional from all of the friendly staff and the food for lunch or dinner was extremely tasty and reasonable prices for the area. The location is great for eating, drinking, shopping and using public transport

Our stay at the Londoner was disappointing. There was a smell that was so strong that we had to sleep with our balcony door open… which then let in the traffic noise. We were scheduled to stay 5 nights, but we actually checked into another hotel for a night to get a reprieve from the smell. We also didn’t have hot water one morning. Would not stay there again.

Awful Smell, Great Staff!

This hotel should temporarily close until the issue with the odours is resolved. Once these issues are resolved, this property has the potential to be an excellent hotel. There is a strong smell of sewage throughout the property, which is unacceptable. It is deeply concerning that staff are required to work in such conditions. The odour was so overwhelming that we were unable to eat our breakfast, as it made us feel unwell. Despite these challenges, the staff were exceptional and went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

Located in what others on the island refer to as the posh area. They mean that because of the very high cost of properties and it is an up and coming area with a new designer shopping centre. It’s in a continuous strip of bars and restaurants all pretty standard but either side within minutes are very good places to eat offering a variety The road outside is fairly busy but in your room you don’t really hear it. Fantastic views of the bay if you have a front facing room. The boats/ferry to Valletta are within minutes walk. Our junior suite had a large bed, bigger than a super king and very comfortable Everything else you would need. The bathroom was great, nice shower the only negative part being there was nowhere to put your wash bag/toiletries other than on the edge of the basin, no hooks on the door or anywhere to put your clothes other than the floor. So we had to put a bedside table and stool in there to use so hopefully the hotel picks this comment up. Breakfast is taken next door and was better than expected certainly not just continental with the addition of cooked if you want it and very friendly/helpful staff to prepare something to your needs. So overall I would recommend a stay here, better than its 3 star rating on Expedia. The site also shows the junior suite image as having a double aspect window whereas ours just had a single patio door out to a balcony. The view was great so we were happy. Reception staff very friendly and helpful and went out their way.

My sister & I had an enjoyable stay at The Londoner Hotel over 3 nights. Joseph, Rae, Marcia & Sammy were all very professional and hospitable to us as guests. Joseph was very thorough in describing our accommodations, the hotel layout, breakfast & the most important security features. We were very surprised when he moved our room to a higher floor. Amazing views over the water. Breakfast was served next door in their restaurant which offered a very nice selection of fresh fruits, meats, eggs & bakery items. The many different options of tours are available across the street along the waterside of The Strand. We had several hours before checking in so Joseph held our luggage while we took a 1.5 hr Harbour cruise with Luzzo Cruises that was absolutely the best way to see the 7 Creeks from the water. Once we checked in, we found our room to be very clean & accommodating. At night, there's quite a bit of activity below with several restaurants & pubs but the noise would eventually quiet down around midnight. The hotel is on the main front road along The Strand which is busy with traffic. Overall, our experience was very positive and recommend staying at The Londoner when staying in Sleima.
