Worn out hotel, not as close to the airport as we thought though there was a bus to take you there and back. Nowhere near as good as their sister hotels in Singapore. Disappointed

The Village Hotel, is within easy reach of the Airport, about 20 mins taxi ride, or the courtesy shuttle, but it could be in a different country as it feels more like you have stepped back into Singapore of the 1950s or 60s. This is a calmer more relaxed view of Singapore with one of the most authentic 'Hawker' centres to be be found in Singapore. The hotel has everything you need if you want to stay in the hotel, but the hustle & bustle is only a taxi ride away.

Hotels rather “tired” also our room we could hear running water in the bathroom, which we eventually worked out was because our room was one floor below the pool on the 8th floor! We called about it but it stopped as pool closes at 10pm, but this should be fixed!

We ordered a taxi through the front desk for an early morning ride to the airport at their suggestion and when it didn't show we used another taxi (license plate SHC 1000H) that was waiting. The hotel tried to intimidate the driver saying he couldn't pick us up which was not fair since we had a tight connection.

Hotel very close to beach and restaurants , good location , got free shuttle bus back to airport . Hotel has lovely staff but needs updating rooms . Room smelt damp on arrival , struggled to get out of bath / shower would return .
