Great Location, Service and Food

Excellent service all around, from door men to bell staff to concierge to front desk and turn down service by housekeeping. The layout is a bit overwhelming, a giant "embassy Suites" like floorplan with rooms on the perimeter and a massive interior atrium looking down over beautiful common areas including restaurants. We tried the Italian restaurant, pricey but absolutely amazing food and service. Front desk computer crashed during check in, they were very professional and apologized for delay then offered a free breakfast even though we did not ask for it. Unfortunately our stay was too short for us to take them up on their offer. Would definitely stay here again. Close enough to the bustle of Orchard yet on a quite side street removed just enough to be more peaceful.

The hotel offered superb service to all guests. Only bad marks were poor WiFi in some areas and only one expresso machine at breakfast. At poolside we were served by Puii who was excellent in looking after us!

Stayed here since 1980s when it was the Regent. Standard,rooms are small but have a balcony. Room service not as good as it used to be . Cold food. Terrific Cantonese food at the Summer Place.

Disappointing and Disgusting

Checked into a Suite with my dog, with $180 payable for cleaning, we expected a clean room. To our horror, the room had a disgusting long trail of big black ants. House keeping came with a bottle of insecticide which is not advisable as my dog is in the room. Had to request for change of room. The second room, had no bathtub, no pet amenities were provided. It was a rather disappointing & horrific experience. Why charged $180 for cleaning when the room is home to ants.

Short furkid staycation

The staff was very understanding and had arranged for early check in and check out to accomodate my furkid. This is really the best pet friendly hotel. One thing missing is they dont give pet toys like orhers do.

I have been staying at this property since 1986. The refurb was ok but we had lighting problems in the room. The room service previously excellent was awful with cold food. The management did move quickly on this. Needs a bistro type restaurant doubling as a coffee shop. The current sandwich bar is too small.
